We are starting to set plans for family trip (about 10 between kids, parents and grandparents) to The World. It appears that 12/5-11 looks like our best bet for everyone's schedules. My question is, will everthing be setup for Christmas by then or will they be just gearing up by the time we leave?
yes, they have it up in early november. they put stuff up as soon as they are done with halloween parties at MK. I have been there in 2006 the first week of nov. and decorations were up already (not all, but a good number of them). last nov, there was still one more halloween party, so the christmas stuff wasn't up yet. check on allearsnet.com, i believe mickey's very merry christmas parties start the end of november right after thanksgiving or before...can't remember, but check the site! what a great time you will have and crowds should be very light!
If it's not up, they'll be in the process of putting it up. A couple of years ago, they started with the Christmas tree at Animal Kingdom on Hallowe'en. By the time we left on 11/7, most of the decs were up.

Yes Christmas decorations are up by then. We were there last year the Monday after Thanksgiving. Going again that time this year(Dec 1-8). Its really beautiful. Make sure to check out the resorts too. GF has the gingerbread house.
