Carry-on bags & diaper bags

If I was to take a backpack as my carryon bag & a diaper bag will they allow both bags as carryons on US Airways? My toddler will use her carry-on bag (backpack)for snacks & activities & I want to use mine for camera supplies & extra clothing, etc. I did buy her aseat on the plane so I know she can have one carry-on. I am hoping that the actual diaper bag does not count as a carry-on for my daughter or myself. TIA

Yes, you can take the diaper bag in addition to the bags each of you will have. This is direct from the US Airways website regarding carry-on baggage:

"You are allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item. Personal items include a purse, briefcase, laptop or diaper bag. Carry-on baggage must be stowed in carry-on compartments of the aircraft, under a seat, or in an overhead compartment."
