OMG, this still has yet to sink in, but last night before I went to bed I landed on the thread about MYW codes and I saw "QXD" for MYW+Dining for 4 of the 7 nights we're staying. I called this morning at 7am, and the code wasn't available at Pop but the CM asked if I wanted to check another resort. I said no, until a big popped into my head and I said "Wait! Are you still there...?" and we checked PO....she came back and said that the code was available there, but that the stay would be more $$ than my current reservation at Pop so I wouldn't be saving any. I asked her by how much, she said "about $100." A week-long upgrade for $100 total??? Well, let's BOOK IT! And then I was thinking that we've already stayed at PO twice and I wanted to try something new, so we checked CBR and that's where we're now scheduled to stay!!!
I've never even been on CBR property, and I'm wondering if I should change it back to POR/POFQ. I was actually leaning towards POR since it was something new for us, but I remember thinking that the bus system was stressful there. So I went with CBR. Now I'm feeling indecisive. Happy, but like I really need to make SURE this is what we want.
Anyways...I'm so excited! Completely unexpected, and I have you guys to thank. With Jimmy I don't have as much time/energy to plan this trip so I think it was serendipity that I found that code thread. Thanks!!!!
Congrats and enjoy your trip!!! I dont think you can go wrong with any Disney hotel!! I would keep what you have. I always go back in forth in my mind about changing hotels but I have come to learn stick with your first one Have fun!! CBR looks like a great place!!

I've only stayed at POR and we love it there! My old boss stayed at CBR and said she loved it there too. Either way, you got a great upgrade

That's awesome!!!!!! CBR is, honestly, one of our very favorites!!!!! I prefer it to POFQ except for the fact that CBR is so big. But, I'd still prefer to stay at CBR. You can't beat that for $100--- and I think you'll really enjoy the difference from Pop, it's a much more relaxed vacation! Have a Pina Colava at the pool bar. We love walking into Old Port Royale in the morning with the caribbean music playing--- we really love it. But, do request a village close to Old Port Royale. my favorites (if we aren't paying for preferred location) are Aruba or Jamaica. I've also stayed in Barbados and it wasn't too bad (they put us in a spot that wasn't too far). Put in your request and also explain that the request is because you want to be as close to OPR as possible. That way if they can't do those two villages, they'll still put you somewhere close. I would put in the request as soon as possible, and then I always fax in another request 3 days before. Once I was inspired by Marnie, and I wrote a poem for my fax request. There was a thank you on the computer when we got there for the poem, and we got a great location .
