I would miss Mickey Very Merry Christmas PArty again. Picture snow falling on MAin Street, free hot chocolate and cookies, little to no lines, the perimeter fireworks.
The Osborne lights in the backlot of the Studios.
The Candlelight Procession in the American Gardens Theater.
Not to mention all the Christmas decorations.
No problem- Choose a weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I cast my vote for the first week of December. I personally have never been at that time, but all of the cool Christmas stuff just sounds great! Second choice would probably be the week before Thanksgiving. We have been in September before and it was still very hot!
Having been in Oct. and Dec. The crowds in Oct. were more than I had expected. I vote for December. Very light crowds, except for Sunday in the MK. We went last year, Dec. 13-20. Fantastic decorations. The first few days were quite warm, in the high 70's, plenty warm enough for us Northern folk to swim. The end was COLD. It was 29 the day we left with ice on the stairs at OKW. It was warmer here at home on that day. That said it can be very nice at that time of year.
Thanks for your responses gang! I am leaning towards Sept and Oct. We were there last year Dec 1-10. Experienced more crowds than I thought we would. I also thought that if we went in Oct, we could catch the halloween party. I don't know...will have to do some major thinking here in the next couple months! Thanks again! I finally talked DH into going to WDW for 4-5 days next fall. We have been there in Sept and Dec already. I am trying ot pin down some dates. What do you all recommend. We are looking at second week of Sept (DH bday), Nov (right before Turkey day), Late Oct (Halloween time), or first week of Dec. Now I personally am voting for early Sept. This way the weather is still nice and warm, and crowds arent obnoxious. Plus I would like to go for DH birthday on 9/9. He will be turning 30! Somebody help me with when to go! Second week of Sept could be pretty darn warm and is right in the middle of the (usually) busiest part of hurricane season. Just so you know . But you're right, crowds will be low.
I've been in early Sept, early Aug, mid-Oct and mid-March. Out of all those times, I recommend October weatherwise. I am going in early Dec this year too. Out of your choices, I'd go with your October dates. But, since I am always looking for deals, I'd probably end up with the Sept dates for the value season prices and discounts. -HiddenMickey
My vote would go to October for MNSSHP. The weather is great, the crowds are mild, and it is just a fantastic "fall get-a-way." We have been to WDW in late Sept., late Oct., early Nov., mid-late Nov., late Jan., and early Feb.
In September, we found it to be too humid and too rainy. I like the Oct/Nov. weather much better!
Have fun deciding.
