Has anyone of use Baby sitting or the Kid Club places at Disney?
My children are in school or day care while I'm at work so I'm not a big fan of not having them with me when I'm not at work. That being said I was thinking while at Disney me and DH might like a romantic dinner without the little ones.
So my question is when we go in 2010 I will have an 11yrDD, 9yrDD, and a 4yrDS. If we did the kids club would they be able to be together the whole time?
I was just curious as to if anyone has used the services?
We have used the kids' clubs and in-room babysitting numerous times for the same reason as you have mentioned. My 7-year-old has experienced several of the kids' clubs and absolutely loves them. We have used an in-room babysitter (from Kids' Nite Out) several times for our 3-year-old also. As soon as she's old enough, we'll use the kids' club for her also.
From what our oldest has told us, they do not try to separate the children into age groups. I believe that they are free to interact as they want. I certainly hope this is the case because I believe that having her big sister there would make all the difference in the world to our little one.
Awesome thank you. Yes I was hoping they would not split them up. I'm still not sure I will do it but DH would really like a nice dinner together but we will see. Makes my tummy turn
We've used Kids Nite Out on two separate vacations. My kids loved both the sitters they had. They came armed with games and movies that were age appropriate. They were both able to engage the kids right away and the children didn't even seem to notice that we left.
Best of all, the kids were in bed and sleeping when we got back to the resort. It seems the Kids Nite Out sitters were better able to get my kids to sleep at their bedtimes then even I am!

We had the same experience with Kids Nite Out. The sitter was fabulous. They also take a lot of information from you before you leave, including how you can be reached, and they are first aid and CPR certified. DS could barely take the time to say good-bye when we left and he was sound asleep by time we got back.
Wow that is awesome!!! Okay so something to consider instead of the kids club. My 2ry DS tends to get a little nasty when he is tired so the Kids Nite Out might be a better option so they can get him in bed. Of course he will be 4 by then so it's anyones guess how he will be
We used the kid's club at the Poly (peter pan theme) when our children were 71/2 and 5. We felt guilty about leaving them, but it was one of their favorite experiences. They talked about what fun they had for months.
I think (and I could be wrong) that for 3 kids the Kids' Night Out people would
require 2 babysitters for 3 kids. I thought I had read that somewhere. I would
love to use this option for when we go to WDW in 2010.

This is not the case. We used Kids Nite Out last October for DS (7), Dnephew(6) and Dniece(8), and we were able to have just one sitter. I think it is something about if you have more than one BABY (not sure what the age cut-off is there) you need two sitters in case of a fire or emergency, there has to be a sitter that would be able to carry each baby and escape.
The kids LOVED their Kids Nite Out sitter, even my niece who is not the easiest child to please or get along with. Like others have stated, he had all three kids in bed and sleeping by the time we got home. (yes it was a he and he was awesome! They give you your choice though if you have a special preference like if you had all girls and might not be as comfortable with a man they didn't know with them or something) I would definitely use it again, and most likely will this October so the adults can make another run to Halloween Horror Nights sans kids!
We have never tried the resorts' kids clubs, but we will be on our trip next week. Since it is just going to be DS, we thought he might have a little more fun at the club isntead of alone in the room with a sitter. It will be very convenient because we are staying at Wilderness Lodge, where one of the clubs is located. Also, we are just going to dinner so we won't be out as late as we were when we went to Halloween Horror Nights (the clubs only stay open till a certain time, the sitters will stay as late as you need them). I think both are great options - just go with whatever works best for your family!!
I've used the kids club at BC. My 7 year old liked it and had a good time but the 10 year old said it was boring and stupid. But she now thinks a lot of things are boring and stupid! But I did feel the cost is prohibitive. FYI - If you eat at Shula's in the Dolphin they will pay for the babysitting fee at the Dolphin hotel kids' club.
We used the Neverland Club at the Poly many times in the past and my boys all loved it. They're getting too old for it now, but in the past they chose to go back a second night and pay for part of it with their own vacation spending $$ because they had such a great time. I would recommend it. As the evening gets later, they show (Disney) movies on a big screen and the kids sit or lay on carpeted seats (like bleachers). I have seen younger kids sleeping there with a blanket. They have movies, toys, crafts, video games, etc. My kids enjoyed it and we were able to relax.
We used Kids' Night Out and the club at AKL, once each. I think the in-room sitter might work out to being cheaper if you have three, and I liked that the kids were able to go to bed at their regular time. The kids liked the sitter, but they LOVED the kids' club. It was pretty quiet that night, but there was no group-splitting as far as I could see. (My kids HATED the kids' clubs on DCL, btw, so a little surprising that they liked the AKL club so much. "Simba's" was a lot less structured and more laid back, which they liked better.)

Hoping to book for February 2011 to check out Hogwart's
My DS 11 and DD 8 went to the Polynesian for 'kids night out' while DH and I went to Epcot 'San Angel Inn' for a nice romantic 'parents night out'. We left them there for 3 hours. I felt totally safe with them there. When it was time to leave, they did not want to (of course). My DD wants to go back and if my DS knew he could still go back there in August, he would want to as well.
There are video games, Movies, Dress Up, Arts and crafts, and so much more for them.
