Disney Food and Wine Festival

Going this year for the first time (very excited about it). Starting to get frustrated though. When do they normally publish the schedule for special events. Some of those looked awesome from previous years. Do I just go ahead and make ADR's and then try and cancel or change them to fit around this? Disney doing it this way makes no sense whatsoever. Instead of making 1 call to do all reservations, I think I am now going to make 3. I guess at least it drags out the planning and anticipation more (trying to make lemonade).

When do they publish event schedule and when can I reserve/buy tickets?

Hi and welcome to the boards!

I seem to recall from last year that the information started to come out in late July and I think they took bookings about a week later - maybe beginning of August? I agree, it is late.

We were there for opening weekend last year. I don't remember seeing a schedule of events until August.

All Ears was reporting you could make ressies for the special events around August 11th, I believe, so it should be around that time (maybe a week before).

We are going to the FWF for the first time this year also! I don't know much about the schedule of events, but I did read that there aren't necessarily advance tickets, but there is an orientation booth once you get to World Showcase. Good luck and hope you have a great vacation!

I don't mean to take over this thread or anything, but what are the special events? I keep reading about food and wine pairings or something, what is that, is that considered a special event? I just thought the festival was all the extra booths set up, I didn't know it was this involved!
