DDP or DxDP? It's only two of us.....

Since free dining has been extended, and I've smidged up my trip just a few weeks so we can get it, I'm thinking about doing the DxDP. It will be me and my ds 6. He is at that age where he wants to eat ALL THE TIME! Also, when we do the DDP we tend to run out of credits on the next to the last day.....don't ask how or why.

I thought it might help to have the Dx so we could have a good breakfast, a meal in the park (we always want a nice break during a long touring day) and then do a resort or DTD meal at night. What do you guys think? Would I get my moneys worth? I'm really wanting to do HDR and CRT as we have never done these before.

Just for reference the cost difference for me and ds combined is 197.00 for 5 nights.

I say if the extra cost isn't an issue, go for it!

That way all your meals would be paid for as well as your two snack everyday.

Have a great trip!

I would. Especially if you run out of credits and you still have to purchase food. It's well worth it with kids and if you don't mind the time it takes. We love the deluxe plan.

Sounds like it might be good for your family if you usually run out of credits.

I think the deluxe plan makes sense at that cost. You can easily run up $200 in snacks alone for a hungry child.

It does sound as if it would suit your eating habits, so I say go for it.

Since the Hoop de Doo and Cinderella's Royal Table would both use 2 credits per person it sounds like the deluxe is a great option for you! You'd still be able to have a nice breakfast or lunch on those days plus all of the snacks and the refillable mug. Sounds like a good choice!

Sounds good to me! We always do the DLx DDP since DH is such a big eater (and never gains a pound-men!) He won't have it anyother way. For our honeymoon trip we did both dinner shows and some sig meals. The mug was worth it's wait in gold-I love it.

I'd go for it, too, if it fits your eating habits and fills your son's belly.

We went last Sept during free dining & upgraded to deluxe. It was so wonderful! It was nice to have that many snack credits, I felt like I could allow the kids to splurge when they asked for snacks. Also, at the end of the trip we had several snack credits left over that we stocked up on to bring home with us. It was nice to have Mickey rice crispy treats after we got home!

We seem to have similar eating paterns to what you have described. We try to do a TS breakfast while at WDW, usually before the parks open since our kids are early risers, CS lunch & then TS again for dinner. We will be upgrading to deluxe again this Sept since it has worked so well for us and we figure we would spend the difference on food anyways.

My DD (6) and I will be traveling by ourselves as well, however I think that the DDP is enough for me. However, if you run out of credits before your trip is over, then the DxDP is probably a good option for you - Especially if you want to do those dinners that take 2 credits.

Go for it if you can!
