If you choose the Birthday Fun Card option (instead of park entry for the day), do you have to spend all the money on the card on your birthday and do you have to spend it all in the park where you got the card?
The original rules were that it had to be spent completely on the person's birthday (and, in fact, a great deal of the Disney-produced materials still say this on the websites), but so many guests complained that Disney relented and the card has no expiration any more.
We had one on our March vacation and were able to spend it throughout our trip -- for 4 days past my son's birthday. So their point-of-sale software accepts the Fun Card well past the birthdate.
Have fun spending the money and enjoy your trip!

no, you do not have to spend it on your birthday. no, you do not have to spend it at the park where you originally got it. i still have mine from july, and was told there is no expiration date. it is considered the same as any of the other gift cards you can purchase with the above exceptions.....great question!
I can't imagine that I would have any problem spending money! Believe me, if they keep the same promotion for next year, that little devil will never have a chance to burn a hole in my pocket.
Lenny got his last week at DHS but we used it at Epcot and it was for 79 dollars even. When you get it, the CM should give you a little pamplet explaining how it works and that it's only good at Disney owned stores (the pamplet does list some places you cannot use it at). We used ours at Mouse Gears.
