Might need to rent a wheelchair

After both x-rays and some bone scans, I found out from my doctor that I have stress fractures in my leg. I'm now waiting to get into a fracture clinic to find out what they're going to do to treat it so I'm not 100% sure yet if I'll be in a cast or not. My mom and I are scheduled to arrive at Disney on December 1. I'm thinking I'll most likely need to rent a wheelchair as I don't think my leg, even it it's not in a cast at the time, will be able to handle a full day of walking on it in the park, even if I can manage walking on it at the resort (either with or without my crutches). I'm looking at renting a standard wheelchair for the length of our stay, I'm not comfortable with renting an ECV, and I'm undecided about which company to rent one from. I'm looking for peoples opinions and experiences (both good and bad) with renting from Walker Mobility and Care Medical.

Thanks in advance

Mystic.

I don't have any personal experience to share, but that you find something suitable and you can enjoy your trip without too much interference from pain/your leg!

Scooter Rental in Orlando, Florida and Disney World at Buena Vista Scooter Rentals is who we have rented a wheelchair from the last two years. They are located on Disney property and of course deliver to your resort. I believe the cost was around$70 plus tax for the week. Just a plain, basic wheelchair, like they rent at the parks, so take a cushion for your bottom!

Both Randy's and Walker Mobility have gotten good reviews over the years from many users, so you probably will be happy with whichever company you go with.

I don't have any advice as to who you chould rent a chair from, but I have to agree with you that you will want a chair at least part of the time. We were planning to borrow one from Vivian's PT office here before she started losing mobility again and was sized for her own. You might check with your doctor's office and see if borrowing one is an option for you.

for your leg. I hear you about needing to rent something, as I'm not sure I can manage a day of walking round the parks, with my chronic fatigue.
