I just got a pin code from Disney yesterday. I thought for sure it would not be for the dates that I am going this year and had already booked but to my surprise after talking to my TA it could be applied. We were originally booked at the All Star Movies Preferred Room but the pin could not be applied to that hotel but was able to snag a preferred at the All Star Sports. (Never stayed there before.) But I could not pass up saving almost $400 from an already discounted trip. Total the code was for 21% entire package counting dining and tickets with PH and FUN which is better than the room only discount that they are running under special offers I had applied to my reservation. I am doing my happy dance.
Just had to share my awesome news.

Yay for you! Can you share the specific details of the pin code? I have never heard of a discount on the whole package...
Sometimes Disney will send you an email that has a pin code that you can use with your TA or by calling them. I have only received it twice in the last five years. One year it was for room only. I think they sometimes send it to their mailing list/ or prior guest. It might also have to do with requesting the the requesting the planning DVD.
Is the code really for 21% of a package, or is it a larger percentage off room (40%) and when you figure all the components together, you come up with a 21% savings off of rack/package rate?

Yup. I have used and received pincodes directly. I have never used a TA and they are not linked to TA use.

Thanks for clarifying what my question really was! I have seen pin codes for room only discounts and for free dining with full rack rates. I have never seen a package discount (i.e. 21% off everything). I also was wondering if your TA used one of the more typical discounts (i.e. room-only) and figured your total savings price from the original package or if this is a new pin code disney is floating...
I am not sure but I figured it out and that is what I saved on the total package that might not be what the actual pin code was for
but the email from Disney read
"That's a savings of 21%!
*The number of packages available at this rate is limited. "
Either way it was better than the saving they are currently offering to the general population. I could not pass saving almost $600 from original price and $400 from discounted price for a value resort.
