Disney mail whoo Hoo but problems with luggage tags

Wow, after salivating over others getting their Disney Mail, we finally got ours today
How to you put it together the luggage tags? .I see the big slit in the middle...but I don't know what to do wth it to get it to stay together They are very cute. I wish they came with directions

Also, they spelled my daughters name wrong for the Magical Express. Does that matter? They forgot a letter.

Many thanks. Wow, almost 2 wks away. Hard to believe.

I don't think the misspelling will matter for Magical Express. But I'd call the reservation number and have it fixed for your reservation, since her name will be printed on her room key/KTTW card. It really won't matter there, either, but I scrapbook mine and it would drive me NUTS to have a name misspelled on one.

Um... I'm trying to figure out how to esplain it to you... You put the plastic loop through the slit, then tuck it inside of it's self and pull.. then you use the same method on the opposite side to attach it to your luggage.
Not sure about the name thing. I'm guessing that she's a minor and it won't matter, but I'd just call them.

You'll need to do two "cow hitch" knots (You can find video -- like this http://www.ehow.com/video_4416452_tie-cow-hitch.html -- though a Google search.

1) to attach the loop to the luggage tag, and
2) to attach the luggage tag to your luggage.

Got it! Thankyou

Do I need to keep my Delta paper name tags on it too or can I leave these on? Although these are too pretty to risk on my baggage that is not carry on. I might just put these on my carry ons.

Thanks a million everyone. Wish they came with instructions though.

I use the Disney luggage tags and the ones that come w/ the suitcase in case one were to fall off. I use ribbon to secure the Disney ones rather than w/ the plastic knot thing it comes with.

Hmmmm....not sure if the misspelled name will make a difference with DME. I would give them a call, they'll send new yellow bag tags. The phone number for DME is 1-866-599-0951.

Disney mail is always exciting! The misspelled name shouldn't matter. The bags are routed by the bar code on the luggage tag, and the tag should have your name (or the lead guest on the reservation) in addition to your daughter's name, so it shouldn't affect the bags getting to you.

Too funny! We got ours a few days ago and I had the same problem! I gave up on the plastic strips and used elastic ponytail holders instead. LOL, as I put those on exactly the way you are supposed to use the ones they send.
