Should we visit in April?

We maybe taking a small 4night 5day trip next year and just wishful thinking for now about when we may go. Haven't been in April and we DEFINITLEY want to avoid the Easter crowds. I have heard Easter is early this year and was thinking about 3rd or 4th week? How are the crowds and weather at that time?

The Flower and Garden Show will be going on at Epcot during April. I would go just for that! It is already warm in April and most days are usually bright and sunny without much rain. I think it is a great time to visit. Easter is April 8, 2012 so if you are planning to visit later in the month, I think you have a great time and not have to deal with large crowds.

The weather in April is very nice, but keep in mind that many people in the Northeast have Spring Break the third week of April (including me ). The crowds will drop off after Easter, but I wouldn't expect low crowds. That said, we found that April is a great time to visit. Just plan to avoid the most crowded parks and you'll be fine.

Good point Holly. My DH is in a contest at his work to possibly win a trip to WDW so I am keeping my fingers crossed. We have been planning to go in October next year with my family to do MNSSHP for the 1st time anyway so this is why I though earlier in the year maybe fun as our small trip.

We have gone the 3rd or 4th week in April for the last 3 years. We love it at that time. Not quite so hot yet. Crowds I thought were very managable. Have fun

We went the end of April/early May one year (about a week after Easter, I believe) and it was great! Reasonable crowds, great weather...it was awesome!

The later you can go in April, the better off (crowdwise) you'll be!
