We are 181 days from heading down to WDW. We have been there a number of times already, but a friend told us to use tourguidemikes to help with dining reservations and to get the most out of the parks. I did some quick searching and could not get a clear sense if it was worth it or not. Looking for some feedback, as tomorow we have to make our ADR's, and want to try and coordinate it as best as possible. Thanks you
I've never heard of Tour Guide Mike being used to help with dining reservations, but I have heard a lot of complaints that he hasn't updated his site in a long time and that therefore his touring plans are out of date. I have heard a lot of good comments about Easy WDW though, and it's free. He gives recommendations about which parks are the best for each day (and which to avoid) and also has touring plans.
I agree with the previous poster. FWIW, if you're going to spend $$ on a paid subscription, you can't beat touringplans.com for bang for your buck. But easy wdw is free, so that's a bonus....
We've used touring plans Crowd Calendar to figure out our park touring. Them se slot in our dining plans according to what park we plan on being in.
Last trip I followed the free Easy WDW crowd calendar, and found it to be pretty good too.
I have heard TGM is a little harder to follow.
I would check out Easywdw. First of all, it's free and secondly Josh is hysterical. His blogs are great and he really does a nice job in explaining why his picks are the way they are.
Just checked out Easy WDW, and it is a very good site. I used Mike one year and didn't care for the way the website was set up, way too confusing, I was clicking all over, jumping from one place to another and forgetting where I was.
Thanks so much for these posts.... I've used Mike before & was able to glean a lot of information. If he hasn't updated much then really the only think I could get from him would be the crowd days...but who needs that when easywdw has that? you guys are AWESOME!
