Anyone going to be at Disney on Halloween? If so, If your not going to be at the "not so scary" party at MK, are you interested in having a party at a resort? I think the kids would enjoy a "trick or treat party".
DTD used to have trick or treating specifically on October 30th and October 31st; however, it seems they discontined to the 2-day event and created a month-long celebration called "Wonderfall," which provides fall-time entertainment. However, they still seem to schedule Halloween-specific festivities! You should probably check with Guest Services sometime prior to that day to see when and where it will be held.
But if you're still looking for something to do on Halloween, closer to the resorts, check with your front desk as many of the resorts host some sort of holiday activities, including costume contest, trick-or-treating, and/or movies, that are usually free (or low cost) to its guests!
Fort Wilderness also seems to have had a contest (similar to its Christmas gold cart one?) called the Halloween Golf Cart Parade and a Camp Site & Cabin Decorating Contest!
Definitely something to keep in mind -- and keep an eye out for -- if anyone is heading down this year!
we are going to be in the world from october 27th to november 10th we are staying at art of animation.

I do not know where you are staying but my favorite place to be on Holloween night ONLY is at the Boardwalk they have alot of things to do on the green
they have
1. DJ
2. 6-7 arts and crafts tables for the kids
3. meet and greet with a charecter
4. trick or treat from end to end of the boardwalk
5. decorate a cookie
and a few more things to do here are a few pictures from when we were there a few years back
We will be there from Oct 24 thru Nov 4. We are going get tickets for the party on a night other than Halloween. However, since my DS is 15, I don't think he would be into a party with a bunch of little girls.
But it would be interesting to hear what else is available.

how will I be able to findout about this years plans? or do you have to wait until you go and check in that they inform you of the fun.
That's a tough one because we just went to the lawn/green around sunset on holloween maybe call boardwalk and ask ?? Or someone with more knowledge then maybe can help sorry
We were at AKL last year on Halloween. They had trick-or-treating and tons of activities for the children at the resort. We didn't have to leave for anything at all and had a wonderful evening! There were no cast members checking to make sure you were a resort guest, but there were also no character meets.
