Red face Questioning our Arrival dinner plans

Every trip to Disney I ALWAYS make an ADR for dinner on the day we arrive. We usually go to a park, because our flight comes in so early.

Anyway.... our flight from Phila on June 14th lands at 9:40am. We are planning to go to Epcot after checking in/unpacking..etc. I was thinking of eating something at Epcot, like Sunshine Seasons around the lunch time hour. So many choices for whatever everyone is hungry for.

I did make an ADR for the Cape May Cafe at 5:35pm. Because I realized I didn't want a to eat twice at Epcot on the same day. My dilemma is should I cancel and we go to ESPN instead. I checked the other menus for the restaurants in Epcot, and nothing jumped out for me. I guess I was looking to eat at a "new" place that we have never done before- ESPN we have but not in 6 years. Cape May has been 4 years.

I hate being so undecided- which I am practically NEVER! Something bothers me about my plans, but I can't seem to understand why!!!! The rest of the ADRs have been made for the rest of the trip and I am quite happy about them.

Please help.... or reassure me that there is NOTHING wrong! Ha! : )

Thank you!!!!

Captains Grille might be a good choice for just outside Epcot. We enjoyed a dinner there.

To be honest, we haven't had a great experience at the Cape May Cafe in some time, although in fairness, I know others have enjoyed it. One option could be Beaches and Cream - that would be fun for your first day.

Beaches and Cream does sound like a fun dinner to start off your trip!

We just got back today, and we had Beaches and Cream for lunch our first day. It was very good. I can't comment on dinner, I don't remember if the menu is different or not, but the food was excellent and atmosphere fun. I also might think about trying the Captain's Grille!

If you are thinking about going to the ESPN Club then I would highly recommend it because I think their menu is amazing. Although I am biased since it's my favorite Table Service Restaurant in all of WDW and I go at least 7 times because I stay at the Boardwalk Inn, so it's easy for me to go there a lot.

I haven't tried ESPN so can't comment on that, but we did enjoy our meals at Cape May and Captains Grille last Aug.
