2 questions [suggestions for more to do + Photopass Plus worth it?]
I have 2 questions.
1. We've been to WDW several times and have never ventured out beyond the typical rides, waterparks, & disney quest. The kiddos are tween & teen now (12&15) and I'm thinking about surprising them this time with something extra, but I don't know what that should be. Considering on what our trip costs I dont want to spend the extra $ unless its something very cool & memorable. Cirque, or a tour, or something that I'm not even aware exists, Any suggestions?
2. I think I may be interested in the $199.00 PhotoPass. The kids arent getting any younger and I'm not sure how much longer they'll want to do WDW with their momma. I just have to get it in my head that its worth the money first. (we aren't doing waterparks this year). So, other than select restaurants, in front of the castle, the tree, the hat, the ball, & the rides that offer pics, are there any other PhotoPass opportunities that we could take advantage of? I guess I'm asking to be convinced to spend the money. . Thanks for giving me a nudge, or keeping me from making a mistake

I visit WDW for the peace and quiet, it's the only week each year that my kids don't fight and argue with each other, ahhh!
How about the Wild Africa Trek--that sounds totally awesome, although the last I heard it was pretty expensive, like a hair under $200/person. (not positive I have the name right)
Good luck! My DS17 isn't big on WDW any more, either, but we're hitting WWOHP at Universal in two weeks!

A tour would be fun, we did the Ft.W Segway tour. Unfortunatley many tours have age limits of 16 & up. Tours and Experiences | Walt Disney World Resort I noticed the Wild Africa Tour is $50 off now for dates 5/29 - 8/25 if your there on those dates?
We have gone to WDW many times so now we always try to do something we never did. The drawing class in DHS was fun, Carousel of Progress in MK- I was surprised how much my teen aged daughters enjoyed it!
This trip we booked Tea at GF, and going to the AMC movie theatre in DTD with the Dining in theatre.
I can thoroughly recommend Cirque - we adore their shows and all of the tours we've been on have been superb. There's not been one that's disappointed us. If you have a PassPorter, check out the Making More Magic chapter for some details of the various tours.
Photpass photographers are all over the parks, not just in front of the icons. A lot of them have special magic shots - where they will add characters and such to the picture. Just ask the phtotographer. These all come with the regular photopass. The photopass plus (the one that's more expensive) includes ride photos and some of the restaurant photos. I've ordered the regular one for our last two trips and love having the pictures of the two of us. It is definitely worth the money to me. I won't buy the upgraded one, however. The additional features don't seem worth the charge, to me. You can pre-order the regular one for a discounted price.
I would suggest the Aqua Seas Tour. You and the kids can get a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium at Epcot - which happens to be the 2nd largest in the world...and then you go snorkeling in the huge tank. My guys took the tour when our son turned 8. It was totally AWESOME and something they'll remember forever. Cirque is great too. But if you're looking for something memorable...try Aqua Seas.
Well, just so you know--not all kids decide they don't want to go to WDW with their parents. DD -age 26 and DS-age 22, are still a little disappointed that we don't want to take them with us this fall. Both of them wanted trips to WDW for college graduation--and they got them.
As far as the photopass--I can't really justify the cost and the time involved in finding the photographer.

My DD (22) & I are headed to WDW for a "girls only" trip in just 33 days! It also is her college graduation gift. DS is 20, has been going with his GF & her family for the past 3 years, but thinks the best trips are with his own family!
