Just did the math and we can't get our tickets for MNSSHP for a few weeks yet, what are the chances that the Sept 30 party will sell out? If they do sell out, how busy do you think the party on 10/4 will be? I know last years Sept 30 tickets sold out and was wondering if this would hold true for this year.
That's after the close of Fall Free Dining, right. (Doesn't it end on 9/29?) There are likely to be some people who are checking in on the 29th, just to snag FFD, but the crowds should still be somewhat low.
Therefore, I think the likelihood of the Halloween Party selling out on the 30th isn't great. Sunday nights often have lower crowds than other party nights....
The other reason to choose that night over a night later in your trip is, if it rains and pours on the 30th, you can usually get them to issue a ticket for another night at no cost. (They're not required to, but they often do that to accomodate guests who get rained out.)
awesome thanks!! that makes perfect sense, esp since we got rained out for our first ever MVMCP last year. I wish i had known there was a chance to get another night, we hung in there as long as possible (got some cute pics with santa holding an umbrella lol) but we left right after the first parade.
Although nothing is certain...generally the sept. dates and early Oct. dates either don't sell out or sell out much closer to the date of the party. Last year Sept. 30th was a friday night...this year it's a sunday. FL residents would be much more likely to go on a friday than a sunday (school, work, etc). The 4th is a thursday and probably less likely to sell out than sunday...however, with the holiday weekend, you never know. They have several parties around that weekend (I'm assuming in anticipation of higher holiday attendance) so people will have lots of options. That's the date we are planning on going and I'm not too concerned about getting tickets. Good luck!
WookiePants and I are going to MNSSHP on the 30th as well.
I just called WDW and verified that the 30th is still open. When I asked if I have a little bit of "fudge" room, or do I have to rush and get the tickets today, the cast member said that I should be good for at least the rest of the month. My TA confirmed this, and said that usually only the 31st gets sold out first, but since Halloween falls in the middle of the week, the chances are that it will be less crowded than normal. Most parents don't want to take their kids out of school, especially considering that school hasn't been in session that long, and it's only a month until the holiday season.
I am waiting a few weeks to buy our tickets for September 25. In 2009, we went on September 15 and it was VERY uncrowded. Usually, the week days are less crowded than the weekends.
