Today makes it 9 days til we leave for Disney on June 14th. I am beyond excitement, but for my Boys sake it is all internally! However every day that I work (part-time for now) and it isn't everyday, I was exhausted even before 9pm. Last night my schedule was 3pm to 11:30pm. I work again tomorrow night the same hours. Praying that I can get through the shift. Anyway, I am noticing that my mind and body NEED a break from my job!
I am counting the days; this past Sunday I laid my clothes out again and re matched them again. The ones I will be taking to Disney. (I am particular on what I wear... yes, I know I am strange). I plan on visiting a dollar store and a Disney Store this weekend. So, I am in gear for packing.
But I am so READY for this Vacation mentally, that my body is not handling the work BEFORE we leave! I don't know what my schedule will be for work, the 3 days before we leave. I requested to work during the day instead at night. My sleeping habits are horrible and I know that Disney will be changing them back for the Good!
Wondering if anyone feels the same way as I do!?! Disney is definitely a physical vacation, but to me this time around it is going to be more of a mental Vacation! : )
You're right, Disney is a vacation--which is good for the body and the soul. Staying on property and being in the Disney bubble can transport you from the real world. Hope you have a magical trip and it gets here real soon!
Hopefully knowing your Disney vacation is just days away will make your long shift at work tomorrow fly by. Here's hoping you get early shifts on the days before you leave. Have a great trip!
We leave for our trip on Monday. I think these last few days of school and work are the hardest. My mind is on making sure everything is in place and ready to be packed. My mind is not on my work! I work tonight and tomorrow and then I'm off for 12 days and can't wait for the break!!!!!! My sleep is not going well because my mind won't turn off! Trip prep has been left to me and I can't relax these last couple of evenings because I'm trying to make and check off lists!!!
Best of luck on finishing these last few days of work! Have a great trip!!!
I hope you and your family have a great, relaxing vacation. Even though it is not "physically relaxing", it is definitely a good change of pace and different routine. Sometimes, that is what we need a break from (the day to day routine!).
Enjoy every bit of your trip!!

apqsmom- I am starting to feel that way too- You will be on your way sooner to Disney than me. I hope all your planning works out well, and you can FINALLY be able to rest!
thinkpink- You are right about getting out of the routine. I am ready for a BREAK! I too hope you have a Fantastic Disney/Universal Vacation too!
Have a great vacation!
Disney is a great for both mind and body - even though it is indeed physical - a lot of walking there - it is kind of relaxing too. And we leave our problems behind whenever we enter the World.
The days before are the worst - kind of expectation and the hours seems longer than usual ... but when we last expect we are in the airport ready to get onboard!!!!
ferrazalves- You are definitely right. I want to be on Mickey time!
Also I got my schedule for next week- I got day shift for the 3 days leading up to us leaving on Thursday! Now my brain has moved from excitement to Packing! Hopefully my sleep will be back to normal! Got alot of non-Disney things to do this weekend- like yard work!
