We are staying at FWCampgrounds and DH and DS would like to fish the lake and canals. Is there any special bait or suggestions to make it a successful catch and release fun experience???
From my understanding is you can fish on property as long as you stick to catch a release policies. I would recommend using artificial lures and plugs because they don't hook as deep, but check with the front desk to make sure...
We have fished a few times using the fishing excursions. The guides are great! The excursions are 2-hours long. The guides take you to the areas where they know the fish are biting. They use shiners for bait.
The first time we fished in the Downtown Disney area. It was just my DH and me. I caught the biggest fish. The second time it was my DH, DGS-6, DGS-4, DD and me. We fished by the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. We caught a lot of fish. The kids had a great time.
