Airfare sticker shock !

Wow !
Are these horrible high prices ever going to change ?
We paid the highest airfare in May that we ever have had to pay !
We are trying to book from Minneapolis to Orlando for October.
The airfares for round trip are over $ 390. ! per person before luggage etc....

We bought our tickets in Feb. for our Dec. trip and good thing we did, as prices have only gone up.
Good luck!

YIKES!! Prices are about $250 out of Indy. The only reason we got a better deal than that was DH's sky miles through Delta.

Good luck!!

Wow! I thought $220 from Orlando into LAX a few days before Christmas was bad - maybe not?

That's why I'm trying Spirit for the first time. The rates are really low and I can't imagine being feeeee-ed to death. I paid for 3 tickets nonstop from Chicago to MCO, bought the insurance and paid for 1 bag (it's only a 3 night trip) and paid for seat selection. Our total was $612 for the three. Wish me luck!

I love and adore SW, but I've been looking for a break for a year and haven't found one that didn't get sold out in minutes.

Prices went up because oil was sooo expensive. Even though the price of oil has dropped dramatically, I don't expect prices to go down by much

It looks like our 2014 Trip to WDW will be driving, unless by then this War on fuel will be over. After paying $303.00 pp round trip this year, I will not pay over that. So we will all have to keep our fingers crossed......

Well, if you've run the numbers, you've figured out you'll save quite a bit by driving especially if you've got more than two people. It's just a matter of gritting your teeth and making the best of the road trip. It's not nearly as far for us (in TN) but we always drive.

We're looking at flying to Anaheim in a couple of years, and I know I need to be saving every dime!

Hope everything works out for you

There are 4 of us and we can do it. DH drives for a living and really looks forward to not driving. So we will see.
