Does anyone know if there is a place at epcot or anywhere else in the world where one can get a henna tattoo, daughter has her heart set on gettting one??
I had mine done in Morocco at Epcot. The lady did a great job and it lasted for about a week. She has a huge book that you can look through and choose what design you want and it does not take her very long at all. I think I was there about 20 mins tops.

Oh wow!! I'm excited about this now too! I have been going back and forth about getting a real tattoo and now maybe I can "try it out" so to speak and decide for sure. The one I want would be around my wrist so I haven't been wanting to fully commit yet.
Can you show her your own design and she can do it or do you have to stick to her book?
I am sure if you show her a design she can do it as long as it is not too elaborate. She does it all freehand.

About how much does this cost? I was thinking about getting one on my next trip. I was just thinking a simple Mickey somewhere on my arm. Or a "bracelet". I know the price will vary on the design, but looking for a "ballpark". Thanks
My DD12 got a Henna tattoo on our trip last October in Epcot and she got a simple design on her hand and up her arm a little and it was $30 plus tip. She has a book of designs that start at around $25 and go up from there. There were no designs in her book of any Disney characters they were all Henna type designs. Scrolls and floral, etc.
I would ask before getting your heart set on getting your own design or a Mickey because she told us the only designs she does were in her book. She has them all memorized. You just tell her the name of the design you choose and she doesn't even look at it in the book she just starts doing it.
It took her about 5 or 6 minutes to do DD's tattoo, maybe even a little less.
It is suppose to last a week or more but my DD's only lasted about 3 days. You are suppose to leave the Henna on until it starts falling off by itself and then it is suppose to get darker over the next few days but after my daughter's fell of it never got darker and faded away by the 4th day. I was very disappointed especially after paying $30 for it.
My daughter ended up buying her own Henna off the internet and it must have been much better quality then what they use at Epcot because the stuff my daughter bought sometimes lasts 2 weeks after the Henna falls off.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I just assumed there would be some Mickey designs! I have some Sum of all Thrills "lick em and stick em" tattoos, so maybe I'll just wear some of those on my next trip. Will have to look into the do it yourself hennas.
I love to get the henna tattoos! I know that mine have never cost $30. It really depends on the design you choose. I know that there are many in the $15-$20 range. I have also had very good luck with mine lasting for several weeks. Keep in mind that you should avoid washing the area for 24 hours and I would suggest that you purchase the balm to put on before showering or swimming. Everytime you shower and/or swim, the design will wear off some. I always get mine on my ankle vs my hand. I wash my hands a lot!
I get one at Rehoboth Beach every year (in fact I have one on my ankle right now!) A few years ago, the artist told me to put Vaseline over the tattoo to help preserve it whenever I was going to be in water. It works every time!

Thanks for this! I'm sure that Vaseline is cheaper than the stuff they sell.
