Magic Kingdom crowd and lunch reservation [on December 22nd]?
So i am wondering what to do...we are leaving Illinios on dec 21st to arrive at Disney Dec.22nd in the morning. We have 1pm reservations at Liberty tree. What happens if the park is closed due to capacity? Do we get charged for missing it? I am wondering if we should rethink our route and try to be at DW first thing in the am....if we do this can we get our park tickets and go to MK say by 8 or 9 am?
I would think that you'd be just about be Ok on 22nd, arriving at that time. I don't doubt it will be busy, but in our experience (and we've spent a lot of Christmases at Disney), the crowds really start to build from the Saturday before Christmas, which falls on that day. So I think you'll be fine for that day, but for any day closer to Christmas, I'd definitely plan to be there at opening and take full advantage of Extra Magic Hours as well.
