Our ADR's are made for our 3 night World stay after sailing on the Dream. Our TA made them, then phoned to give me an update.
Our 'Ohana's and Whispering Canyon nights had to be traded--no biggie.
But the CM talking to our TA said our 50's Prime Time Cafe ressie was "limited resources" and that our family of 3 may not be seated together. Huh? Our TA was baffled and so was the CM as they both said this typically doesn't happen with parties of 3 but larger parties.
I'm imagining dropping of the 10 year old (ah, maybe that is why as he will now be considered an adult) with another table and the husband and I having a lovely meal by ourselves.
It reminds me of how the airlines are selling aisle and window seats for more money and then splitting up families in the middle seats. Yeah, they paid more for their seat and now they get to babysit my kid! Saturday Night Live needs to do a sketch about this. . . but I digress.
Has anyone else had this happen with an ADR?
I know we are going at a busy time of year, but for a late afternoon ressie?
It will all work out, right?

Might not be such a bad set-up! I have never had that happen but the idea of what they are suggesting made me laugh. Good luck. I bet it works out you 3 will have a wonderful family meal together

Reason: Spelling :-)
It's probably just in their script and they tell everyone regardless of party size that they may be split up. I've dined with 3,5 and 9 people and never been split up.
.....I would hope that a party of 3 need not be split up due to "limited resources"?
.....of course...had I been faced with such a decision at 50's Prime Time....I, myself, me...would be the "good egg" and opt to perhaps sit alone at the bar....close to where the Bloody Mary's are created....to 'suffer' in singular silent segregated anguish....having pot roast to eat......and...as I noted...."taking one for the team"....and.....being THAT much closer to the Bloody Mary's.
Never heard of "limited resources," but all of our ADRs stated that we might be split up and we're a party of 5. I think that might just be something they say, but I'll let you know if we get split up during our Aug/Sep meals.

Anastasia made this our most memorable dinner! She even told DS to write her...
I've heard that people making reservations online for one person have been told that their party may be split up, so I definitely wouldn't worry about it.
I would think it means that you may have to wait for a table at your ADR time; i.e. that all the 4-person tables are booked and to CTA (so to speak ), they have to state that there is a chance that your party will be split up, but Disney doesn't actually require kids be separated from their parents. . .no matter how much you wish for it!
I think you all will be fine -- just try to get there a little early and, if you have to wait, don't forget to check out the bar in the "living room!" They have yummy pre-dinner cocktails and appetizers that can be ordered while you wait at the bar (or on a sofa!).
I go there solo and do not remember ever sitting at a 2-top table. It is an official term but means nothing in the long run. 99% of the tables are for 4 or more people so there will be no problem. The modern age of computers has led to such quirky happenings.

Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".
She is gone but keeping signature. Laundry is getting done. My purpose in life is to help poor people in FL. Farewell, will miss you.
