Question To Water Park or Not to Water Park

We are in debate if we should upgrade to Water Parks or not.
We will be at WDW for 4 park hopping day's in September. Are the water parks worth the extra money or should we use it for something else?

If you want to go to the water parks just once, it is probably cheaper to just buy a one day water park ticket than do the add on. You'll have to check the math but when we went a couple of years ago it was cheaper that way. The water parks are a lot of fun but on a shorter trip I would probably skip it.

We've never done it, though my sister and her family have.

But I would agree-- get a one day pass-- there's so much ELSE to do!

We're staying at the Beach Club..who needs a waterpark wtih StormAlong Bay?? )

With a 4 day trip, I would skip the water parks, but purchasing a 1 day ticket to a water park would be the most cost effective rather than adding the water parks and more to your ticket. However, since you have already added "hopper" to your ticket, I believe there is now a reduced cost to add water parks 'n more--that may rival the price of adding a 1 day water park ticket. I don't know enough to do the math, but someone else on the boards may.
Good luck with your decision and have a great trip!

There is - but it depends when you bought your tickets. With the ticket price increase in June, the park hopper OR water park option increased to $57 per ticket plus tax but the cost of the park hopper AND water park option is now $79 per ticket plus tax, so it would only be $22 more to include the water park fun and more option. The "and more" option now also includes the option of a round of miniature golf before 4 pm.

We really enjoy the water parks and feel they are worth the extra money.

If you're only going for 4 days, I'd probably skip the water park and just use the hotel at the pool!

For me personally, 4 days is barely enough time just at the parks. I would wait til you go for a longer amount of time.

We were there last September and the heat was enough for us to spend the money! We would spend a portion of each day in the wave pool or lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon and the rest at the parks. The water warks are fun! You should be able to upgrade for what the current price is.

This sounds like a good deal! We don't ever get the park hopper because for a family of 4 it adds up fast and we're fine with one park per day. For hopping, a water park, and minigolf I may have to look into this. Just when I thought I had our August trip all figured out.

For a 4 day trip, I'd skip the water parks. There's so much else to do at the 4 parks

I agree with the others, for such a short trip, you won't have enough time for the water parks. Save them for when you have more time.

I love the WPs, but agree with the others that your trip is going to be full with just the parks!!
