Disney over Christmas Break?

I am contemplating switching our 2013 trip to go from Dec 26 thru Jan 3. Knowing this is a busy time, how bad is it really crowd wise? I think I could handle the crowds Bryce with lower temps.
Thanks!

It's really crowded. Some days the parks get so crowded they don't let any more people in after a certain number are already in the park. If yiou do go, go very early and use Fastpass as much as you can

We went leading 20-25 December back in 2007. It was REALLY busy! The popular attractions were easily 60-90 minute waits without Fastpass.

Temperature was great. And the parks are simply beautiful at that time.

Good luck with your decision!

It's busy, but totally doable--and this is coming from someone who really doesn't care for crowds! We were at WDW over winter break this past year, and I thought it was great. The decorations are amazing, the park hours are long, and the whole atmosphere is very festive. Also, the weather was very nice (one day was downright cold, but we had driven down from MN and had hats, mittens, etc.).

It is very busy, so bring a lot of patience and a touring plan. It is beautiful in the parks and resort, and the weather can be a bit cold, but then again it can be very warm, you never know! We are going again this coming December and we really enjoy that time of year, Disney knows how to do Christmas!

We try and avoid it, having done it a couple of times before. I've seen waits of 240 minutes in the past for that week for Test Track, just to give you an idea. The Magic Kingdom often fills to capacity by lunchtime/early afternoon and I've been there once when it did and it wasn't pleasant. I've also seen some of the other parks hit capacity as well.

If you are going then, take full advantage of Extra Magic Hours - hit the parks as soon as they open and use Fastpasses as others have said.
