The last couple of trips when I've made my reservations, the CM's always tell me "you'll receive a confirmation in your email in the next few hours." Well needless to say, this is the third or fourth trip that I have NOT received anything in the email automatically. I don't know how many times I had to call in the past to get them but it is annoying IMO to not get what I'm suppose to. And for this year, I made a room only resevation 2 weeks ago today and still never received an email. I have however received not 1 but 2 bills in the mail (in 2 different envelopes) for the deposit on Lenny's room that I paid when I booked. It's hit my charge card and I even checked the Disney website and it does reflect the deposit being made. And if receiving two bills isn't bad enough - the due date on them is July 18th, 2012 and I didn't receive them until Monday afternoon - which was the 23rd. I don't know. Someone, somewhere is slipping and I know it's not me.
Last year I had to call and ask for them (from Australia)!
In previous trips I also had an actual paper confirmation/receipt sent to my home. None of those last time either.
AND if you live overseas you don't get sent an magical express tags or info either. When questioned they said it was too expensive and most tourists arrange their own transfers. We just showed up at the ME desk and were given a receipt to board the bus with.
I've always gotten the conformation emails. Do you have strict email settings that would send the Disney emails straight to a junk or spam folder? (I'm sure that isn't the case, but it's good to check the obvious first)
As far as the bills. That is odd.. I hope it gets straighted out easily for you!
Are you sure the bills don't show that you made a payment?
I got two bills last time we used WDTC and they looked like I needed to pay, but did indicate that there was a payment.
Can't help with the email problem.
We've always received email confirmation, but as the others have pointed out, perhaps yours is dumping into Spam or Junk Mail. If that's not the case, maybe you should call them to confirm that They have your correct email address. Good luck....and have a Magical Trip!

No, I get all sorts of things from Disney, just not emailed confirmations . I even checked my spam just in case. I guess that's why I find it so odd - I get all that other stuff and when I call, they always have the correct email on file.
I do know that there are some sites that opt your invoices, receipts to either mail or email. You might check with Disney and go over your account settings. Good luck. I know how frustrating it can be, especially when you WANT the email!!!
Well that's super frustrating when, as others have said, you actually want such an email/receipt!
The only thing to do, since everything appears to be in line on their end (and on yours! ), is to see if you can maybe wait on the phone with the CM and check your email right then and there? I don't know how fast things happen via Guest Services, but I know when I call DVC Member Services and make changes, I'm usually already signed into my account as I make the call, so when they're done on their end, I can see the changes nearly instantly on my end.
And like HiddenMickey suggested, double-check those bills you received and make sure they're not really just receipts. It'll be one less thing you'll have to worry/call about.
My last trip, I didn't receive any email (or snail mail) confirmations. When I called to ask the CM told me that it wasn't customary to mail the confirmation of payment / receipt. When I said I just gave WDW a couple thousand dollars and I get no receipt? I get one when I give the dollar store $2. He said that he would try to send me an email showing my balance. {At the time on their site "my account" was showing that I still owed my full amount.... hence the panic.}
If we're all talking about WDTC, I find the inconsistency in their method of contact is a bit troubling.
I have always received an email reservation confirmation and/or payment confirmation within 24 hours of whatever action I've completed.
I have NEVER received any type of billing or reservation/payment confirmation via snail mail.
I take my time paying off my balance so every month between making my reservation and my final payment date I receive payment confirmation and balance information in my email.
I do everything online - at least initially. When I've called to modify my reservations they've verified my email address and promised to send a confirmation within 24 hours and they always have.
Weird that they can't get your paperwork done properly.
If I were you, Darlene, I would use my confirmation number to pull up my info on the WDW website and have it in hand when I call them. I'd be looking at my charge card activity in front of me too, so I could quote them the date, etc when the charge went through on Lenny's room. Then I would have a detailed conversation with WDTC about all of your issues.
I will say I have never received a statement of money owed, but I've experienced some issues with differences in what I booked and what Disney showed I booked. I have also seen some price differences between the website and what I've been quoted when booking on the phone.
It just goes to show us all that we need to do our due diligence and seriously watch the particulars of our reservations. Hope it all works out well for you. I know it's frustrating.
When I make a reservation and apply money I usually enter the res number in the retrieve reservation on the ta site. Then I make an PDF and email it to my client so they have an immediate copy. Sometimes it could take over a day depending how much Disney has in their que.
The consumer site has a similar set up which I think is "my reservation" and you can generate a copy for your records.
