Our November stay will be only the third time I've been to WDW, and I'm now discovering how difficult it is to decide what all to see and do on return trips.
There are the must-see's and must-do's that we can't bear to give up for something different. But then, we don't want to skimp on trying new things either.
We're actually considering adding a few more days to our already-booked stay because we're discovering that we may not have enough time for all the restaurants we absolutely must try along with some favorites we can't ignore, not to mention being sure we have plenty of time for seeing and doing whatever the mood takes us to.
Anybody else have this problem? Ain't it just an awful hardship? < big grin >

YES! We absolutely have this problem. My DH, especially, has requested to do some "different" things this time. Which is completely understandable and makes sense in theory. BUT ... then how do we do all the stuff we love and has become a favorite??!?!

On here, I think you're going to get a lot of people agree with you. We're going for 10 days this year and it still seems to me like it's not long enough. It makes me wonder for us how long will ever be long enough.
Absolutely agree. There are some things that I feel once you've done it/seen it, you don't really need to do again. But then I feel like I'm missing out if we skip it! My DH is not a fan of The Country Bear Jamboree, but I just can't take it off the itinerary!
Isn't it a great problem to have? I find every time we go back, we find more that we want to go back to at every opportunity, which makes the must-see/must-do list longer and longer, but that's why we keep returning!
It makes me wonder for us how long will ever be long enough.
This is certainly true for us! We usually try for 8 nights and of course, always miss something we meant to do. I've decided not to stress about it. Instead, I know that my son has certain must-do's, so we will be doing those. We also try to do something different each trip: one experience or attraction we've never done before, and at least one meal eaten someplace we've never tried.
On our most recent trip, I somehow got home without a Dole Whip but we did get to eat with a friend at Tony's for the first time, and with another friend at Art of Animation. AND we met up with Laurie to watch the tiger being worked on at the Conservation Station, which was quite interesting. Plus, we had a mini-meet of PassPorters (hi, Jeff!) for a few minutes of fun chat in AK. So I came home quite satisfied with the trip (my 20th) even though I didn't do everything I had in mind.

And this terrible problem is partially why I hope my 2013 Deluxe PassPorter refill gets here YESTERDAY! We're not going till mid-November, but I want to start now deciding on ADR's and listing what all we may want to see and do.
Bet others can relate to that one, too.

Most of our trips have been for 10 days and the choices never get any easier. The last two trips dh has said he was tired of a couple of restaurants but they have now been replaced with other new favorites. After this year LTT is making it back on the list though!!
After being there 9 times since 2007 our trips still aren't long enough. We are waiting until August 2014 to return now to build up the anticipation. We were considering going this year, but we have seen Fantasyland multiple times incomplete. I know most of it is finished, but until the Mine Car Coaster is complete we will not return. It will be hard, but it is either a 4 day trip this year and maybe a week in August 2014 or save up and spend two weeks there in 2014. Can't wait until 2014!
It's never enough, lol. How long is your trip? Our summer trips have been creeping up in length, from 10 nights to 14 this Aug, and our Jan trips too, from a week to 10 nights !
There's new stuff, at Epcot TT is all new, and there's the new Fantasy Land. This trip, The little Mermaid ride opened, plus the new Castles, Gastons village, & Be Our Guest, which was great. 30 min wait for lunch though.
I know your pain. We leave in just a few months and I tried to make all of a ADRs new or places that we have not been for a few years. We shall see how it goes. Good luck in planning.
Like I said we leave in May and I also live in St Louis so if there is anything I can bring you back to make your planning easier please, let me know.
LOL.. This is a great post.. You are not alone. We find this struggle in our planning and we go EVERY year.. Never enough time to go everywhere we want to go. We always go back to a few, that maybe we didn't go to in a few years, but we honestly make an effort to try something new every visit. Last year we had a 'bunch' of first timers and it was great, but felt like we missed some of our favorites. We often go for 7 to 10 days and still never have anough time to do everything.. so it get's added to next year. Happy Planning!!!!
