Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

We're planning a trip for the fall and I'm wondering which Passporter to order - the spiral one or the deluxe? Any thoughts????
What is the real difference between the two? Also, does anyone use the passholder thing? Is it helpful??? Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

I'm still torn on the Spiral vs Deluxe. I have several Spiral issues and one Deluxe. We are using a Spiral for our trip that starts next week and using a Deluxe for the August 2003 planning. The main advantage I see is the ability to add more PassPockets for longer trips (such as our summer trip). I like to save the PassPorters from each trip and label the end jackets accordingly. The Deluxe will require me to get rings and rubber band it together after the trip. So, now that I have listed it out here, I still lean towards the Spiral edition. Clear? Now the PassHolders we have and really like them for the convenience of holding passes, note pad and a pen.

Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

After buying the spiral edition for the past 3yrs (has it been that many?), I finally bought the deluxe edition. My thoughts this time were that it would be cheaper to buy replacement pages every time than a whole new book. I don't know if it will really work out this way, but I really love the deluxe edition and am glad I finaly got it. As far as info or easy handling I really couldn't say.

Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

I've had several spiral editions but am on my second Deluxe and LOVE it! My only wish is that they would make "un-dated" PassPockets, so that I could make them into 11th, 12th,13th day, etc.

Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

I bought the spiral edition first and loved it so much, I went straight back and bought the deluxe. From here on in, I will only have to buy refills! I've just ordered the spiral version of the Cruise Line guide, but my logic is that we're planning a Disney cruise in May 2004, but I don't know if we'll ever go on one again after that, whereas I know we'll keep going back to WDW! Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

We have 2 spirals, used one for our March trip, and decided to buy the deluxe for our December trip. I like the spirals a little better for planning - it seems they hold a little more than the deluxe's leather binder, but now that the binder has been well used and loved - it's holding more as well!

I like the deluxe much better to bring with me on the trip - the binder has little card slots for our passes - fr. flier cards - room keys, etc. I also like that you can remove the pocket and map for the park you are visiting that day - I throw the pocket in my waist pack, and fill it with that day's receipts - also, I use my daughter's autograph pen to make notes in the parks on the pocket for my trip reports.

The maps in the Passporter are better than the attraction maps Disney gives out - much better spatial orientation.

I guess all that means - I pick the Deluxe, and definitely - use your Passpockets!

I personally have the Deluxe and love it. It has little slots on the side to put ID's, cards etc. And the refill for this year will fit right in. I've never had the other one, but I like the Deluxe

Count my vote for the Deluxe too, I love that you can remove each park section to bring with you that day or just the map with Jennifer & Dave's favorite touring plans which is so helpful when you get to the park and become overwhelmed. I also feel the leather looking binder that snaps shut protects all my important papers better. Another thing when you get updates online and print them out just punch holes to place into binder

Re: Passporter Spiral or Passporter Deluxe - which to get??

Reading all your posts about the Deluxe makes me glad I ordered the deluxe I was debating which to get, I have gotten the spiral edition the past 2 times and thought I would try the deluxe this time around. I can't wait till I get it in the mail so I can check it out Thanks for all your comments on the deluxe.
