Working Intinery - Looking for Suggestions

I am trying to establish a flexible intinery for our June 2004 trip. We have one party member leaving 5 days before the others, so want to hit every park at least once prior to his leaving.

I have a full day 6/25 and two half or three quarter days on 6/23 & 6/27 I need to plan activities for.

Do you think this is too much? Will we be completely burned out by the end of the trip? I don't expect to do everything at every park, but would like to see each of them. There are different attractions at each park that make me not want to scratch any of the parks. What do you think?

Re: Working Intinery - Looking for Suggestions

Hi,

That sounds like a good itinerary, but you will be busy! You might want to think about taking some down time each day - I know from experience that going from early morning until late at night at Disney World and the other locations is absolutely exhausting. You might want to consider doing a half-day at Blizzard Beach, say maybe 4-6 hours and sleep in, eat a late breakfast and then, head over to Blizzard Beach for a few hours and leave in time for an early supper. On the days that you are at Disney World, check and see which days are the early opening days and go to that park the NEXT day - most of the crowds will have gone on the early opening. Also, do E-Ticket Ride Night, then, you can spend your MK time doing other stuff than waiting for rides. Plus, it is really fun to basically have the MK to yourself and a few other people.

Also, it takes a good 90 minutes to get out to Cocoa Beach from Orlando and there is quite a bit of walking at the Space Coast.

I guess what I'm saying is...make a list of your most important "must-sees" and make sure that you see those things. Then, as you have time and energy, hit the rest of the things on your list.

Have a magical day!

I would also HIGHLY recommend E Ride if it is available to you- even on top of the days you already have planned for MK.

I find the best approach is to get to the parks in the AM, break afternoon- mid- day and return in the evening. Or alternatively, switch parks as crowds tend to swell between 10am 1 pm.

Sounds like a great vacation with LOTS of bases covered!!

Re: Working Intinery - Looking for Suggestions

Wow! I'm tired just reading your itinerary. I strongly suggest scheduling in a day or two or certainly parts of days for just relaxing. I knows there's an amazing amount of fun things to do at WDW butyour feet will appreciate it if you give them a rest too. Also, you didn't say how many are in your party of the ages but scheduling some time where people can go off on their own for a few hours can also be a good thing.

Have fun!!!!

Re: Working Intinery - Looking for Suggestions

I would try and leave the days you're not sure as down time to just relax and enjoy yourselves. I'm not sure about a dinner show or Pleasure Island the night before you go to MK - you might want a lie-in the next day if you're out late the night before.

Thank you for your ideas. I think you are right about Pleasure Island the night before MK. Maybe another night or not at all, we'll see.

I do plan on this being flexible, (with relaxation time) but I wanted something to start with and see where it leads. Thanks for your input.
