I want to get UPH at check-in BUT

I have read some conflicting info. Can anyone help me out on this? I have a 5-day PH with one unused day. DD has the same on a child PH. I would like to get UPH at check-in w/ first and/or last days left off b/c we don't plan on visiting the parks those days. Can I do this? Can I apply my PH leftover day toward our new passes? Does this make sense? Thank you!

Re: I want to get UPH at check-in BUT

This past summer I booked a room only for just two nights and wanted to get the UPH seperate. I called Disney and they said I couldn't do it. I asked the travel agents at my work and they said the only way to get the UPH is to purchase a package. You can't already have a room booked and purchase them- they have to be for the entire length of stay. -Stephanie

Re: I want to get UPH at check-in BUT

You can make 2 ressies back to back: 1 for however many days (minimum of 3) that would be considered a package and include the UPH and the other a room-only ressie. The trick is availability.

Bad news is that your left-over PH day is not good toward the UPH as that is only available as part of a package.

Good news is that you could use that one day during your room-only stay or save it for another time as it will not expire.

You may want to consider using Your Magical Journeys to book your room request as they are the BEST!

Happy planning!

Re: I want to get UPH at check-in BUT

WHOA! Now I'm REALLY confused! First off I do not have a package...room only! I have read many, many posts on another board about being able to purchase UPH at your resort upon check-in when you have a room-only reservation thru CRO and also being able to leave one day off (either your first or last day - some have even suggested BOTH first and last!) Anyway, I am assuming that I can definitely BUY the UPH at my resort. I'm just concerned w/ whether I can apply my Park Hopper's remaining day to it...also, what I have read is that with a package you cannot alter your UPH, it must be for your full stay. Anyway, my question remains: Can I get the UPH for 3 nights instead of 4 AND apply my unused day toward it...guess I'll find out when I check in in 3 weeks!

Re: I want to get UPH at check-in BUT

eliza--
Since you have a room only reservation, when you check in, ask to purchase the UPH for both of you. Then ask the CM to leave off that first day's portion. The CM should be able to do this for you and you can use your left over day. This has been accomplished for many people in the past. If he/she won't do it for you, ask for a manager, and if that still doesn't work, just save your left-over ticket for another trip and buy the full UPH.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
