Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

How close is Sea World to AKL? we are staying for 8 days and was thinking on our day off we might go to sea world. Would it be easy to take a cab there or do they have buses that run to sea world?
Also, is there a Hard Rock Cafe near disney or on site?

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

The closest Hard Rock Cafe is at Universal. Sea World is about a 15 minute-25 minute drive from Animal Kingdom Lodge. There are no shuttles, but cabs are available.

Ps: We LOVE Sea World!

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

We are also breaking up our trip at WDW as well. We are planning on going to Cape Canaveral, 45 minutes and Sea World with is about 30 minutes. We are renting a car on Friday morning and returning it Sunday nite. There is a car rental place in Downtown Disney. AAA is offering some awesome rates which is what we are going with. A car for the weekend. We had a Sea World in Ohio and that was bought out by some rinky dink amusement park. We will be staying 7 days.

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

I'll also be spending a day at Sea World, which is about 20 minutes or so from WDW (depending on time of year, traffic, etc.).

I will be using one of the towncar transportation companies, such as Tiffany's Towncar to transport my group of 4. The rate is pretty reasonable...and may even be less money than a cab. There are many other threads about towncar tansportation companies. Some are Tiffany's, QuickSilver, Florida Town Car, Happy Limo..just to name some. You can check their websites for rates. They are all competitive, but some also offer coupons. Note that some of them will only transport you to another venue if you use also them for your roundtrip transfers to/from the airport.

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

We got to Sea World using Tiffany Towncar. It was excellent as you could sit back and relax on your way rather than having to be on edge about getting stuck in traffic or how much your fare is going to cost you as TTC has a set fare. The people driving are very nice.

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

We stayed at POR and visited Sea World for one day while there. I contacted TTC the day before to arrange a van (there were 7 of us) and I believe it cost @ $60 R/T and it only took @ 15-20 minutes to get there. When the driver dropped us off, he asked us what time we wanted to be picked up and he was there waiting for us. Well worth the money IMO.

I'm not sure where there is a Hard Rock Cafe - there's the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, but not sure if there's a cafe there as well.

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

I have never been to sea world but my mom is a Hard Rock Cafe Pin freak so I have all that info...Hard Rock Cafe is at Universal City Walk it doesn;t seem that far from Disney... but we manage to get lost every time there is also a Hard Rock Hotel (with its very own gift shop ha ha) and The Hard Rock Cafe Vault I have never been to the last one I just read about it in the Orlando vacation planner I sent for. It says it is a multi media experience... and I don't think it is at the city walk? That or it is new since I was there 2 years ago... according to my mom they have DIFFERENT pins so if I can find it guess where I will be going to Christmas shop lol. We have eaten at the Hard Rock on both of our trips to Orlando and the food was great both times.

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

I LOVE the Hard Rock Cafe! It's a must-do every time we go to WDW--we have to make a stop there!

I've never been to Sea World but my parents have and they really liked it. My mom even bought a picture of herself feeding a dolphin! I hope you all like the Hard Rock Cafe and Sea World, too!

Re: Sea World/Hard Rock Cafe

We took a trip to Seaworld from POR, taxi including tip was about $20 each way. However next time we will get a towncar as I was reading that someones journey from Universal to WDW took about an hour and a half, I would`nt want to pay taxi fare for that.
