Dec 18th - 26th

Thru some research and talking to other people I have heard that these dates would be busy but not crowded with the exception of the 24 th and 25th. Our last 2 trips have been in June and crowds have been heavy, wait times averaging around hour and twenty minutes on most rides.Should I expect about the same for dec 18th -dec 25th or should wait times be better. If we want to see Christmas at WDW unfortunately these will bethe only dates we can go.

I think you will encounter crowds but you will also totally enjoy all the Christmas activities and decorations. We are going at about that same time this year...I'm waiting for our school calendar to come out next week to set our exact dates.... We went last December and absolutely loved Disney at Christmas.

We were there Dec. 17 -20 last year and our wait time was 5 minutes on everything we rode! The crowds will start to grow, from what I understand, a few days before Christmas, but you'll have some time before that happens.

Re: Dec 18th - 26th

We were there 2 Christmas' ago. We got there the Sunday before Christmas and left the day after Christmas. Very crowded. We did not get to go on that many rides for the lines were entirely too long for DH and my then 7 year old. The baby was just over 1 1/2 and while she was cranky, there were not a lot of rides for her either because of the wait. The decorations were beautiful, but if we were ever to go again over the holidays it will be early December, not Christmas.

Re: Dec 18th - 26th

Usually the crowds grow from the Saturday before Christmas, but that's usually when the Saturday before is just a few days before. Last year, it fell on 18th and to be honest, although the crowds started to build very gradually from then on, the parks didn't get really busy until about 23 / 24 December.

You're right in that the last couple of days of your stay will be made, but before that, crowd levels will probably build slowly and if you use FastPass and ensure you get on all the big rides early on in your stay, you should be fine. You'll love Disney at Christmas - all the extra events and decorations more than make up for the crowds!

Dec. 18th-26th
Those are our exact dates this year! I realize that the days closer to Christmas will be crowded, but hopefully it won't be too bad the first part of the week.

Re: Dec 18th - 26th

I agree with Chezp. We were there Dec 19th-30th and early on in our stay we walked on almost everything. Of course we are early birds and his the parks while others are still in their warm cozy beds, but even the afternoons seemed OK.
