Week Between Christmas and New Year..

This week is listed as one of the busiest of the year. Anyone who's been - can you compare it so say the week of the 4th of July?? Is it so crazy packed that you don't even have a good time?? We are kicking around going that week. We have always gone at off peak times but now that DS is starting school and already going to miss a week for our DCL cruise in April - i would prefer he doesn't miss any more. Mainly, I'm trying to convince my DH that we should go but he thinks it is going to be way too crowded.

Re: Week Between Christmas and New Year..

I can't say you won't have a good time, but when we went 3 years ago the days right after Christmas were insane. The parks were okay very early in the morning but by 10 AM I couldn't stand it anymore!! Wall to wall people, long lines, no space to even sit quietly. Is that the only time off from school? You could try Thanksgiving for a few days or spring break in march or april. Those days are crowded too, but I don't think they are as bad as Christmas.

Re: Week Between Christmas and New Year..

It is very busy during that week, but we still had a good time during our vacation last year. New Years Eve was the only time that we got really fed up with the crowds. (Think scenes from Times Square with wall-to-wall people everywhere. You couldn't walk anywhere in the park without literally pushing people out of your way.) If you're used to going during slow times of the year, I'm not sure that you would enjoy going during the week of Christmas. I'm glad that we had the experience, but we will never do it again.
