Dog Kennel

Has anyone ever board their dog in the disney dog kennel? If so, do you suggest it and how does it work?

Re: Dog Kennel

You might be able to find some information on this at www.allearsnet.com From what I can tell, the Epcot kennel is the only one that will walk your dog for you (I believe that the kennels require that you walk your dog during the day - I could be wrong on this but I think I have read that somewhere). I have personally never used the WDW kennels, but would most likely use the Epcot one if the need presented itself.

Re: Dog Kennel

We have never used the kennel but did go and checked out the one near the MK a few years back. It was very clean, but the "kennels" were more like crates. (we are use to kennels with runs here.) If thinking right, WDW kennels are on a first come basis. So if you are planning of traveling down with your loved pet, fur kid etc... there could be a possibility of you not getting a room at the Inn. (That could present big problems! Was told they have had pets of many different types stay at the kennels (Hermit Crabs, Lizards, gold fish... on up to horses and other large animals)

Re: Dog Kennel

We day-boarded our two dogs at the Epcot kennel at the beginning of October. For more info, check out this thread.

Re: Dog Kennel

Thanks for the info. I am concerned about them not taking reservations especially at x-mas
