My \"final\" (Hahaha) itinerary plans for our Feb 18-25 Trip.
We changed our resort reservations from POFQ to the Wilderness Lodge. I love POFQ but I have always wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. So after my bonus from work came in (thankfully not an enrollment in the Jelly of the Month club) I decided that I had the money now and if I wanted to assure myself a WL trip this year, I might as well do it now. So we have a WL reservation with a Courtyard View. I am going to request a bunk bed room for the girls. I have no idea why kids love bunk beds but oh well I don't get why they like Barney either. My plans follow the least busiest days at the park for this week. Which means I'm avoiding the Magic Kindgom until the Tuesday after President's Day. haha
2/18: Arrival at the Wilderness Lodge- At one point we were going to spend the day at Animal Kingdom but I don't think so anymore. Since we are at the WL, I think we are just going to enjoy the resort. I mean, it looks like it has tons of stuff to do. We will have to go somewhere to activate our Annual Passes though. Later we will have dinner at 7:20 at the Whispering Canyon. Let the eating BEGIN!
2/19: Disney MGM Studios- You just can't see every show at MGM in one day so we missed some things over Thanksgiving. We definitely plan on seeing the stunt show this time. We have Annual passes now and we plan on going 4 weeks to WDW this year. So, to keep some things fresh, we are skippng Fantasmic this time. I love the show but I want to keep it special. I think I'll hold off on the Indiana Jones show too until June. Lindsay is 3 and the show might scare her. If not, the crowds trying to leave will. Fo the first time we are eating dinner at the Sci-Fi Diner. Ressies are for 5:15. Drop by and say hi! The park closes at 8:30 so I'm sure we'll stay until closing for the first time here. I think this will be our only day at MGM. Oh and I might gain membership into the "Bad Daddy" club when Allie rides the Tower of Terror with me. She said she wants too but I don't think she knows what it is. I hope she will. I get tired of riding all these things by myself.
2/20: Epcot- With today being President's Day, I'm going to the park that can handle the largest crowds. Since no one in our party can ride Mission: Space besides me, I'm skipping it this time unless i get a chance late in the day. I'd rather spend times with the kids. So, I guess we'll be lemmings and go as fast as we can to Soarin. Allie loves it. I hope Lindsay will be 40 inches by then but I don't think she's growing 2 inches in a month. haha The Land really isn't anything special but I hate that it is SO overcrowded now with Soarin. I almost want to avoid the whole place because of it. I can take crowds outdoors but indoors, it makes me agitated. That being said, I would like my kids to be able to do the "Junior Chef Program" at the Land. It sounds interesting for an afternooon diversion. I wouldn't mind doing the Behind the Seeds: Greenhouse tour but I'm sure it would bore the kids. dunno We've also never seen Club Cool or the Innoventions East and West. I think we'll make sure to do this and to go see Crush in the Living Seas too. We always seem to rush to World Showcase. I'm not doing it this time. Once we get to WS, there is a lot we've missed. I've never seen the O'Canada show or played in the mazes in the UK. I'll try to do that. This will be our first Epcot trip where we won't be searching for all the Holiday Storytellers. We have 5:15 dinner reservations at the San Angel Inn. If you have a flashlight you might find us. Man it's dark in there!
2/21: Magic Kingdom- Finally, we are going to the greatest place on Earth. But first, we have an 8am character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I think it will still be Mary Poppins and Alice but later this spring Tinkerbell and the fairies are suppose to take over. My girls would love that but I want them to meet Alice. After breakfast, we hit the MK. I love the moment you clear the tunnel and then I see Roy sitting with Minnie.
2/22: Magic Kingdom Day 2- You just don't go to the greatest place on Earth once! We're going to MK at least 3 days so that we don't feel rushed and so we can do Fantasyland multiple times. We're doing the normal stuff but we have a 5:00 character dinner at Chef Mickey's. We've done the breakfast before but I hear good things about the dinner!
2/23: ???/MGM- This is our only "whatever day" We will probably go to Epcot again for the morning. Maybe sleep in just a bit too! Woo hoo! We need to be back to MGM for the 50s Prime Time Cafe though by 6pm for dinner reservations. Lord knows what would happen if we are late there!
2/24: Magic Kingdom We're back! Day 3 at the MK. We're going to continue having fun. That's the only order. We have 5:00 reservatons at O'Hanas. I hope the dinner is as good as we've heard!
2/25: Final Day. BOO! Leaving stinks. But we can spend almost a full day at the parks before heading home. I'm not sure where we'll go. The kids will get the choice. Hmmm.. I think MK day 4 is about to happen.
What, no Animal Kingdom?
We're planning on skipping the AK this trip. It really isn't a must do for us just because in Georgia, we have a great zoo with Pandas and gorillas, a wild animal park that allows you to drive through an area with giraffes walking around you, and we have the biggest aquarium in the country.
We love the safari but we've did it a lot. Allie is afraid of Dinosaur, Lindsay is too small, and neither Tiffanie or myself want to ride it back to back by ourselves so we're hoping that by skipping it again until June, the park will be fresh again and Everest will be open by then!
That being said, we do enjoy it and we might spend a 1/2 day there on Thursday or Saturdan am if the kids want but we'll skip the E-ticket rides and just enjoy the beauty of AK. That's the best part.
I can't wait! (Now, it's time to start planning for the June trip!)

They sound like great plans, Matt. I don't blame you for skipping things if you're come back soon. We do that all the time. It's always a good excuse to come back.

I think your plans look great!! We skipped AK the first two times we went (short trips) but I am soooo glad that we went this past trip! It was one of our favorite days! BUT, I agree with the others, too... it's a good excuse for another trip

Your trip sounds great!! Please tell us about the tour when you get back. We are thinking about that one too, but my DS may think it's too childish, he's 11 you know!!
