If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, what would you do? Let's rule out Victoria and Albert's and stuff that expensive. But what would you do? Help a romantic-male-in-training out!

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, First off, I would stay at the Polynesian (but that's just me). If I couldn't afford the deluxe, I would pick POFQ. (But since in this fantasy I am going with Jon Bon Jovi, I could afford the Poly!) OK, back the the question. I would do the parks, but only in the evenings. We'd have to sleep in of course. I would do the following activities: Horseback ride (day 2) Illuminations Cruise (first night) Carriage Ride at POR (last night before going to Epcot evening EMH) Maybe parasailing (if I felt adventurous, day 4) Hula lessons at the Poly (both of you!) (any time) I would definately see Wishes and Illuminations at least twice. Dinners would be: Marrakesh Tony's Mama Melrose or Brown Derby Todd English's blue zoo Yachtsman Steakhouse or Jiko depending on which park that day. Jon and I would spend afternoons on the Poly beach, drinking Rum and Cokes, maybe taking a spin in a SeaRaycer a time or two, but mostly relaxing. OK, back to reality before this gets over the PG rating!

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, For resorts in the realistic price range, I'd go for POFQ or WL. Taking the boat down the river from POFQ is amazing, and you could have a nice evening at DTD. One of our ultimate dreams is to rent a SeaRaycer in the Seven Seas Lagoon--it's time alone, on the water, and moderately priced. Walking around the beaches of the GF and Poly is very nice. Watching Wishes from the Poly beach is heavenly on a balmy evening (until the Electrical Parade turns on...it's fun, but music programmed from a TRS-80 doesn't say much for romance. ) The lounge outside Artist Point is very nice and cozy. We haven't been to Scatcats yet (at POFQ) but the atmosphere is great and I've heard it's a lot of fun. For me the most magical way to spend an evening is at World Showcase, dinner and Illuminations, walking against the traffic after the fireworks and walking through Int'l Gateway over to the Boardwalk area where things are still happening. SO magical, and even better if you can stay in that area for at least a night or two. We rented points at the BCV and it was well worth it. I'm sure she'll still love ya even if you end up at the ESPN Zone all night.

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, Good start ladies. I would never end up at ESPNZone. (marks it off list) I like the ideas of evenings at the park with relaxing days.

| Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, Start your day with room service (request they add a rose to the tray)...breakfast in bed or relaxing on your balcony while watching the animals at AKL. Some pampering for you both at one of the spas (you can get some inexpensive services.) OR better yet, since you're doing this for her...you give her a massage or foot rub! | Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, A fireworks cruise is on the top of my list, I rented one for DH's 30 th birthday. We have also took a carriage ride at FW. Anywhere in the WS at night is romantic to me when I am with DH! |

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, I was looking for the same kind of ideas myself. I found this on allearsnet.com: For a touch of romance, try taking the launch from the Contemporary to Fort Wilderness/ Wilderness Lodge (and back again!). The gentle ride is relaxing and very beautiful on a warm evening -- and if it's cold, that's all the more reason to snuggle in closer with a loved one! If you time your ride just right, you'll also be able to watch the Magic Kingdom's fireworks show, "Wishes," from the water. The boat captain will dim the onboard lights and maybe even let the boat idle during the show, so that you can watch it to the very end. Even though you miss some of the ground effects, it's truly a unique and breathtaking view of the fireworks! Then from there you can do the carriage ride at FW!

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, Watching the MK fireworks from the Poly beach while having a drink would be high on my list! My DH has always planned really amazing trips for our anniversarys and that is something we always try to include. Tony's is one of my favorite romantic places to dine. They have always been REALLY good to us when they knew we were cellebrating something special.

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, I would definitely plan on a carriage ride. We did the one at Port Orleans on our honeymoon. Try to get the last ride of the night, which should be at around 9, if I remember correctly. An Illuminations cruise would certainly be high on my list of romantic things to do....particularly if you could get the Breathless! Did this on our trip w/another couple last year, and *loved* it! But that is on the expensive side of things. Maybe you could look into having something delivered to your room....like a gift basket of fancy treats. Try checking out the WDW Florist website www.disneyflorist.com for some ideas. with everything....you sound like such a thoughtful husband to be planning this!

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, You have been given many great ideas. What about just walking around hand in hand, it doesn't matter where....There are some couple's spa tratemnts too, that you might want to partake in... [ QUOTE ] If you stay at WL - have them deliver chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to your room one evening after dinner!!! YUM!! [/ QUOTE ] I think you can get these at any of the deluxes. When making your ADR's you could ask for a quiet corner in the restaurant too. What about a stroll along the boardwalk, relaxing by the pool (hope three aren't too many kids). Enjoy planning!!

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, I would definitely book a room at Port Orleans Riverside, ask for a river view room in the Magnolia Bend section. (Try to get a corner room if possible). A "Must do" for the carriage ride (awesome). Bring your own glasses & bottle of champagne (& a rose for your lady) for the ride. Do take the boat down the river at night to Downtown Disney & have dinner there. When ever your make reservations let them know its to celebrate something special. Holding hands great ideal. Steal a kiss or two on a dark ride!! Buy some fake rose petals (at any craft store) and spray them with her favorite perfum & scatter them all over the bed. Little touches can make the heart soar!! Good luck & have a romantic time. Catherine PS Go to one of the glass shops and have two fluted champagne glasses engraved with your names & the date you take the carriage ride.

Re: If you could plan the Ultimate Romantic 5 day stay at WDW, I like romance, but I'm not cheesey. One of my favorite things I have done with a significant other at Disney World is stopping to play checkers at Tom Sawyer Island. It was nice to just sit down for an hour, without running from place to place, and laugh and play checkers. Of course, we were both competitive and he was a cut throat checker player, so we were harrassing each other a bit. But the time we spent, just the two of us, relaxing at WDW was the best!
