Shipping supplies Has anyone shipped items, like diapers, baby food, snacks, etc., to their resort before you arrive? How soon do you ship and how do you address the package, since you don't know room #? Do you call the resort to tell them to expect a package? Not sure I'm going to do this or just take an extra bag and have more room for goodies to take home

Re: Shipping supplies I do this!! I do call the hotel ahead of time and tell them. I put my resort reservation number on the box as well as my check in date. Last time we arrived on a Saturday and I think I shipped on a Monday. The hotel really doesn't want it there more than a day ahead (at least that what they told me). You can call whomever you will use to find out for sure when to ship (I usually use UPS, and track it-- definitely do something where you can track it). I'll be doing this for our trip in August as well.

Re: Shipping supplies We ship as well! I usually call the resort ahead of time to let them know a package will be coming. You should include your last name, ressie #, and check-in date. I also put a slip of paper inside with all that information just in case something happens to the box. Try to time it so that the package arrives 1-2 days before you do.

| Re: Shipping supplies I started shipping supplies and now, have graduated to shipping our entire luggage! (It is easier for us, we usually travel during the busy seasons). One word of advice is to be very organized and ship by Ground instead of Air...it costs much, much less. True, you have to send it a bit earlier but not by much. I use Fed-Ex and they guareentee Ground will arrive in five business days. As others have said, call the resort prior, tag your package, and track it to ensure everything is on schedule. | Re: Shipping supplies Not only am I going to ship a box down to our resort in April 2007 with snacks and assorted stuff I am also going to print a label to take down with me so I can ship stuff back home in the same box. I can preprint a UPS label and take it with me then put anything I want in the box, tape it closed with tape I include in the box and give it to the front desk to give to a UPS driver. We are only going down with luggage we can carry on to save time not having to go to the conveyor belt and that will save us some room. |

Re: Shipping supplies There is another thread that was active a while ago and people had posted their experiences in it but also someone posted how to address the box... You can find that here... Pre Shipping Items Thread I shipped a box in May to Pop Century I used FedEx and it arrived the day we checked in and it was very easy.
