| A million dreams I am not going this year so I'm on and off the boards sporadically these days, but I read about Disney's new sweepstakes on Deb's site yesterday - A Year of A Million Dreams, is that right? Anyway, I registered of course, but the info Disney is giving right now seems a little fuzzy to me. Basically, there is a sweepstakes and then if you are there in 2007 (which I will be) you may win random prizes that cast members will give out. Is this anyone else's understanding. You get these prizes just for walking in the gate, do you think, or is there any other planning that one can do besides register for the sweepstakes. I'm just wondering what the buzz is about it from those more in the know than me. |

| Re: A million dreams There are two separate elements to this. There is the sweepstakes that has its own prizes, which -- I think -- include a trip to WDW as well as one night in the castle. (Once you are registered for the sweepstakes, you do not have to be in the parks to win.) The promotion for YoaMD is a year-long event where random acts of Disney magic will be sprinkled upon people in Disney parks around the world. It's mostly been conjecture so far, but we're thinking there might be things like Golden Fastpasses, more guest interaction in the parades and shows, comp'ed meals or extras and that sort of thing. Since they are probably spending a pretty penny to rehab and complete the "Disney apartment" in the castle for the sweepstakes, my guess is that this'll also be a "dream" that will be given out throughout the promotion too. Keep your eyes peeled... I'm sure we'll see more info as we approach Oct 1st. Eileen |
