| Cheerleading competition in DW? I just found out my daughter has a cheerleading competition in Disney World scheduled for February of 2007. We’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count, but this will be our first trip to DW for a competition. I’m hoping we will have time to visit the parks. Has anyone been to a cheerleading competition in DW? I was surprised to find out that February – April is peak season. I mean, I knew anytime around spring break would be, but February? I guess there must be a lot of competitions and conventions going on during this time. We usually visit during the summer months because that’s when the kids are out of school. |

| Re: Cheerleading competition in DW? We were at WDW this past March and there were alot of cheerleaders competing. We did see them, from time to time, on the rides or attractions also. I hope you can squeeze in a few family favorites while at the competition!    |

I have never been to a competition down there, but I can tell the schools up here in the Northeast usually have their winter break around the middle to end of Feb. and alot of them flock to the warmth of Florida. Hence, the peak rating. I can also say that the value reasort are FLOODED at this time so book early. |

| Re: Cheerleading competition in DW? Our competition list will be posted in 3 weeks. I'm absolutely praying for Disney because it's been mentioned as one we are possibly looking at, but I won't know until then.   |

| Re: Cheerleading competition in DW? Have never been onsite for a Disney Competition, but have been to many in the Orlando Area - and they are right - Feb - April is Orlando Cheer Competitions. If it is an onsite - in the Milk House Competition - you will have some special events that Disney will throw for attendees. Extra Magic Hours for only participants, for example. The times we have gone for competition, we have added on days after so we could enjoy WDW. Between practice schedules, team events, and oh yeah, the competition, there was little time for Disney. In fact, we did Character Meals one year, just so we could feel like we had had a touch of Disney for the trip. Hope that helps! |
