Christmas Accomodations

We plan on staying at The Beach Club checking in on 31st December 2008. Should I book now or is it too early for them to take my booking? If its too early can someone suggest the countdown of when I should book my accomodation. Thanks a lot Toppy

You can book a reservation now; however since you're checking in on New Year's Eve, and their limit for booking reservations is your arrival date, I would book a room-only reservation and convert it to a package (if you decide to do a package) later on.

Best to be on the safe side during that time of year-and by booking this far out you can just about guarantee you'll get what you want.

Good luck and happy planning!

December 31 and January 1st will book up pretty quickly as many are traveling to WDW during Christmas week.

You can, actually, book your Magic Your Way package now for dates starting in Dec 08 and traveling into 2009. That would be my suggstion. However, Disney does reserve the right to change the final package amount based on their 2009 package rates (usually released mid-late summer).

It is not often that there are specials for December 31st, but should one come out for arrivals on January 1 (such as right now, there is a free upgrade ticket special) you can then just cancel the first night of your reserved package and have it re-rated at the discount. Then, you can simply book a room-only reservation for the 31st.

I hope that helps and wasn't too confusing.

As stated, if you are really sure you want that time of year, book as early as possible. It is, as you may well know, THE busiest time at the parks. As long as you are aware of this and willing to deal with the crowds, it is certainly a very magical time at the parks. We personally prefer early December when you get to enjoy the magic of the holiday with low crowds.

We booked our December 2008 trip about a month ago for the Grand Floridian and had to move our dates around a little to get 10 days in a concierge room. We couldn't believe it was already a s booked as it was. I think it's worth it to book as early as you can if for no other reason than peace of mind
