What's going on in April? About This Page:

We're going to the World on April 21-30. According to the WDW website park hours, MK closes early on certain days during our stay. Does anybody know what's going on at MK? I was hoping that the Pirate & Princess party would be extended during our stay, (anybody know if there's any possibility).

I noticed the same thing in early May. They have only announced the P&PP through March. They may just be keeping their options open. Although it could also be Grad Nights. They are usually the end of April.

I think they have a couple of "grad nights" planned in that time frame. A real hoopla for graduating seniors- they get the park to themselves!

Grad Nights are scheduled at the Magic Kingdom for April 18, 19, 25 and 26. I read somewhere that they were adding Pirate & Princess parties on April 23 and 29 so hopefully that will work out for you!

Indeed there is a Pirate and Princess party on April 23rd. As soon as they announce that tickets are available for the 23rd, I'll be online or on the phone purchasing two of them. Maybe we will see you there!

Just curious -- you seem VERY certain that the rumored P&P parties are going to happen...do you mind if I ask how you know they are more than a rumor? I keep reading things indicating there will be P&P parties while I am there, but when I call Disney, they tell me, "No, the last P&P party is in March." I *really* want to go to P&PP!! And I want to make sure that I don't plan something that will goof up going to the party! (I am planning for my immediate family and DH's extended family -- they tend to get annoyed if I have to make too many changes.)

We will be down there from april 19th - 27th and if there is a pirate and princess party planned for the 23rd I want in.

We went last august and it WAS WONDERFUL. I would love to do it again. Please keep us posted.

We're going to WDW in early April, and I noticed that the MK closes early on April 1 and 4. I talked to Disney as well and got the same "no P & PP after March." I keep hoping an announcement will go out about the dates being extended.

I am VERY new to the boards here, but I wanted to let you all know what I found out today. I am traveling April 9 - 15 to Disney World. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I was VERY excited to see the dates for the April 11 Pirate and Princess Party but no ticket sales YET! I called the dining today and spoke with one of the cast members. She told me there DEFINITELY will be a Pirate and Princess Party on April 11th and that they just have not put the tickets on sale yet. She said they would be on sale soon and the event is posted on their calendars! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited

I will let you all know if I hear anything else.
Has anyone else heard of this or when the tickets may go on sale?

Our last day, April 29th, it closes early and even the customer service people (talked to 2 different ones) did not know why. The others were grad night but both said they had no idea what was going on on the 29th. If you find out, let us all know.

We will be there April 18th -23rd and participating in Grad Nite on the 19th. from 10 pm to 4 am in the Magic Kingdom open to high school seniors and their chaperones. I am really looking forward to it! Chaperones get extra special treatment including front of the line passes to all the rides! Along with a meal at Crystal Palace and backstage tours.

Let the party begin!!

We're going to be there 4/18-4/25 & are waiting to see if the 23rd will be a P&PP. We've never been to it & would love the chance to attend.

I called again today thinking that maybe a new person would know (even though I tried 2 already). She could plainly see the grad nights but couldn't tell anything about the 29th. She said that something was in the works. She said it could possibly be another P&P party but tickets were not on sale. She said it could be another grad night. She even put me on hold to ask but no one knows. Whatever it is....it sure is quiet.

If you go to Walt Disney World - Disney World Vacation Information Guide - INTERCOT - Walt Disney World Inside & Out - Info Central they list P&PP for May & April. I'm planning for a party, but waiting for official word from Disney.
