| This happened to us last year. There were a lot of large conventions that were taking up space in the resorts. I was able to determine who some of them were by looking online at the Orlando Convention Bureau and some other online searching. President's day is Feb. 18th so I would guess that your Feb 9th date is not affected by that. I took the extra step to go to the Convention websites and see when they had scheduled time in the parks (they were almost always specific to one park) and free time. We just avoided their scheduled times in each particular park and we didn't notice a difference. The parks were still quiet and we didn't find that we waited for anything. The only group that we encountered were the dance/cheerleading teams. We avoided MGM on their competition days (again, I went to their website to figure out when they would be where). It was hard to avoid them altogether. The only time we ran into problems was when a group of 30 used their group fast pass on Rock-n-Roller Coaster right as we were attempting to use ours. That was a drag but not the end of the world.
