I think for your first visit you should save MK until the last two days. It is the most magical and your children might be disappointed in the other parks if they go to MK first.

I LOVE MK and would LOVE to always make that our first stop but we often plan it around what day of the week we are starting our trip. That being said, we often arrive early morning (I don't count that as our first day but a bonus day ) so on that day we always end up at Epcot. We usually stay at BC or BW so we can walk into Epcot and enjoy a few things as an arrival treat.

We love to also finish by waving goodbye to Mickey at MK on our last day, even if just for a few hours.

Every time we went (just DH and I) before we moved to Florida I always had to go to the MK first. It's my favorite and always will be. I would go there first.

We get to WDW on Sundays usually around noon and go to Epcot first and we try to go to DTD that evening. Our last full day we go to the MK and the morning we leave we go back to DTD for any last minute shopping. What we do inbetween depends on our ADR and our moods.

The first day we always start at MK and eat at the Main Street Bakery outside and feed the ducks. This has become tradition. We may not stay at MK all day but we like to start there. Did you know that they pipe out the smell of Choc Chip Cookies down Main Street? Yum!

DH is not a big fan of MK, because it is so similar to Disneyland which we visit once or twice every year. So, our first day, DH will hit the spa at GF (he likes to get a deep tissue massage to get rid of work stress), and me and the kids will hit MK (our favorite).

After that, we'll go by EMH and our ADRs.

I do the same thing. It usually works out that we end up DHS first but it is completelty decided by the crowd calendar and EMH's.

I like to do Magic Kingdom first. It gets you in the Disney mood when you first enter and see Main Street with Cinderella's Castle at the end. It makes me so happy to be there that I tear up. This will be my grandson's first trip and that is what I want him to see first!
