Which parks do you like to do first?

We have 4 kids and I was wondering for a 7 or 10 day trip what order do you do the parks?

we always have a plan of action but never seem to follow it... but we do have our usual stops...like MK is always first!! and MK is the last park we see b4 we leave!! We do Animal Kingdom on EMH because the animal tend to be out more...but other than that, we wing it (plus the boys kind of pull us in a 100 different directions) HAVE FUN!

I think if you start with the MK, all the other parks won't be as good for the kids. I'd start with the AK, then Epcot, MGM, and the MK. MK is my favorite and it's always difficult saving that for last so my plan doesn't always work!

I think it depends on what day you get there too! I would avoid MK on a weekend day.

We usually go to DHS first, only because it's the smallest park and the easiest to navigate. This works out good for us because we're always so tired from traveling our first day! We usually spend the next few days at Epcot, then we'll go to the MK and AK.

We decide by what days are EMH and the crowd calendar. 2 yrs ago we went to Epcot first and this year we are doing DHS first!

We usually do Magic Kingdom first because that's our favorit park and we usually just can't wait to get there! This time around, though, we're going to AK first because we're trying to do the parks on the best days per touringplans.

We're not doing DHS this time, but usually when we do we do it on the middle day between MK and EPCOT because DHS is usually a shorter day for us and MK and EPCOT tend to be our really long/tiring days so we don't do them one after another.

We go by crowd calendar and it always seems to be Epcot first. I know they say that with kids MK should always be last but MK is always 2nd for us and the last park we hit the morning we leave.

Somehow I always seem to end up at DHS first. It probably has something to do with my Fantasmic obsession. I'm so paranoid about missing it for some reason I always insist on seeing it the first night. This time we decided to start with Epcot first. We're taking DBF's 8 year old son and guessing it will be his least favorite - but something he'll still like. We think if we go somewhere else first he'll be disappointed in Epcot.

Epcot first. The rest depends on EMH and weather

We always try to spend our last day in the Magic Kingdom. Outside of that, we plan our park days based on what EMHs we want to do/avoid.

This will be our first trip, so we are doing AK, first. We are dying to see this park because of the animals, then we are hitting MK for the MNSSHP, then DHS, then Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival, leaving time in between for rest, relaxation and magic.

If all I have is an evening on my first day, then I like to brave the crowds at the MK, even if it's expected to be busy. Seeing the castle really starts the vacation for me.

If I get in early in the morning, then I tend to go to whatever park is expected to have low crowds that day (using the crowd calendar that subscribers to Touringplans.com can see.)
