Disney Rewards Visa

I have this CC and have already transferred my rewards dollars for our upcoming trip to be used for souvenier money for my girls. My question is are there any other discounts besides the photo op at Epcot? Thanks!

I'm sure someone can say what the other benefits are, but you should get a mailer (separate from the bill) from Chase that has Disney all over it.. I'll see if I can find ours...

I've been reading all the generic type info about discounts at select places and what not, but I was hoping to hear of any specifics. The lady at Chase wasn't very helpful on the phone this morning. She said she thinks the only discount is at the World of Disney Store at the marketplace in DTD. Otherwise, she said it appeared that most of the discounts were for DL, not WDW.

There is a lot of fine print. I assume you have looked at the website? I think they try to have more benefits at Disneyland than at WDW...
You can get discounts on some 'behind the scenes' tours...

I got a discount when using my Disney Visa booking the Family Magic Tour. I think you can find out all the special offers on the credit card's web site.
Reward: Halloween Pixie x 2

There are different discounts throughout the year -- some on plays on Broadway, some on vacation packages at WDW/Disneyland, some on toys and other items at the Disney Store or at Disneyshopping.com. The flyers will often tell you what's coming up, but there's a link on the Chase website for special offers. If you've given them your email address, they will often send offers that way as well -- a few a year.

As for on property savings, if you pay with your Disney Visa at World of Disney, you get 10% off. Some tours are discounted with the Visa. Not much else that I can think of off the top of my head, though.

Enjoy those rewards!

Don't forget that if you pay for your trip with your Disney Visa, you get 6 months no interest on that trip. That's what we did for August. I paid for it with my Visa, got the points, and just sent our government surplus $$ to pay for the trip.

You don't have to pay for your merchandise at World of Disney to get the discount, much to my surprise. My card was maxed out when we went to the store (had just put down the deposit for our next trip the night before). When I told the CM that was our cashier she said all she needed was to see the card. Very cool.

I was just going to correct this mis-information when I saw the next post.

Last fall, I only had to show my Disney Visa to get the discount. This year, I did notice that you had to have a $50 purchase in order to utilize the discount.

I'm looking forward to shopping at DtD on Friday, June 20th - I'm hoping to save $20 or so, depending on how much I spend!!

Don't forget you also earn those reward dollars which can be used for things on property (i know not a discount but the fact that there is no black out dates, and they are 1 for 1 is a good deal)

But they always send me different offers for different things from Movies, to Vacations. But on property you get discounts on Tours, and at the World of Disney.
Plus they do give DV holders usually (not always) first shot when they release discount packages. (i.e. Free dining, etc) So that is also a benefit.

Thank you all. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a "hidden discount." I always read things about guests asking for discounts for having certain cards and getting them, but I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing about my Disney Visa. All my rewards dollars are ready to be spent at Disney in a few weeks! Can't wait!
