Question About Online Disney Shopping

Is there a website(s) that sells the stuff found in the Downtown Disney stores (World of Disney)
or Mouse Gear, or Art of Disney?

thanks

also, what are some of your favorite souvenirs?

We got two prints...one with Goofy and Mickey...and one of Pinnochio and Jimney....

I like using LaughingPlaceStore.com.

The prices are a little higher than you'd find in the parks, but it is mainly because they are sort of a shopping service. Many (if not MOST) of the items that they have on the site are shopped for WHEN you order them.

They don't have ALL of the things you might find in the WDW shops, but they do have quite a bit.

Not sure where you are, but the Disney Store in New York City is actually owned by Disney. I have perused the website, but not visited yet. Planning on hitting it this July with the kids. They even have characters for pictures.

There's also a few stores on Ebay that sell stuff from the parks. Not sure price wise how they compare to Laughinplace

I have persude the souvieners price items myself. What I have done is watch the planning DVD, read books, forums and scoured the net about different items that I thought that I might want. I had running list made and then every month or so I would call the WDW merchandise line and explainto them that you are taking a trip and need to budget money to get these items and that you need a price. They are SOOOOOOO helpful! Sometimes they have specific price and other times they have just a general price range, (still gives me a target amount to save back). I have made a list of souvieners from the e-worksheet here, and now *waa-lah* i know how much to save. The thing I can't wait to see, is the little outfit's they have to dress up your Pal Mickey!

You could also call WDW Merchandise directly.

As far as I know, disneyshopping.com doesn't carry park merchandise. :

To add to what Rob said, though, if you know what you'd like to rder and can give a good description of the item(s), you can call WDW Mail Order.

Walt Disney World Mail Order

Is the one in NYC different from the others? Because the running of the stores was sold to The Children's Place a couple of years back and the stores have gone through some changes. The clothes is cheaper - both "less expensive" and "cheaper" - than what you find at the park. The service is very much declined, since they don't have Disney breathing down their backs about Disney Service (how many Disney Store cast members remember the story about the Capidemonte and the little boy?).

Do I still shop there? Yeah. But I don't expect as much from them and the merchandise isn't what you find at any of the parks. Even their PJ Pals are different (and actually more expensive) than online.

I know you can still return stuff there (from the parks), but it's just not the same anymore. Sigh....excuse me while I go wallow in my memories......

I am pretty sure that the NYC store and the Hollywood store and Soda Fountain were not part of the Children's Place/Hoop Retail acquisition and sale.

Those 2 (at least, probably locations overseas as well) have always been owned and operated by Disney.

Yes -- the NYC is actually a Disney-owned store and never was part of the Children's Place chain. They have some of what you can find in the parks as well as some NYC-specific items.

Good luck finding what you want!
