To help with my planning, I'm wondering what times will the parks open for morning emh's and what time will they close.

I just found out our flight times have changed (to our benefit), and we get an extra 6 hours to play with on our first day. woohoo!!!

Could someone help me calculate opening and closing times for emh's from 8/11 to 8/17. I have which parks are morning and which are evening I just get confused with the specifics because I think I read that it's an extra hour in the mornings and up to 3 hours at night(where I'm confused...what do they mean up to??, does it vary?) Thanks all!!

Morning Extra Magic Hours

You've got the basics right.
Just add an hour to the published times for an EMH morning, and 3 hours for an EMH evening...
Examples:
If operating hours for MK are posted as 9am-11pm, and it's an EMH morning, the park is open at 8AM for WDW resort guests.
If operating hours for MK are posted as 9am-11pm, and it's an EMH evening, the park is open from 9am to 2am(!) for WDW resort guests.

Remember to bring your Key to the World cards with you, as you'll need to show proof that you are a resort guest to be admitted in the morning, and to get a wristband in the evening.
