| trip update I have been at the Boardwalk villas since Aug. 17 and am leaving tomorrow the 29th. I have to say the resort has been very nice. We are on the 5th floor facing Luna Pool. We enjoyed eating at Spoodles and Big River Grille--excellent service at both. We liked the fact that we could walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios--quicker to walk than wait for the boat. Bus service was fine. 3 really great bus drivers. 2 took us directly to CR. 1 dropped us off at HS and then saw us walking towards BWV and told us to get back on the bus and drove us there. I found the parks to be very crowded these past 2 weeks and I have been down here the same time the last 3 years and haven't seen it this crowded. There are a lot of people from other countries here--a lot of people must be on holiday. I was not impressed with the service at a few places we dined. I found the staff very abrupt and wanting to get you in and out as quickly as possible--not friendly or happy at all. It is funny we were using the dining plan and now you tip, you would think they would be more pleasant since they knew you were tipping. I had better wait staff when the dining plan had the tip included. We tip very nicely and always leave cash. On a few occassions we not only gave a tip but our room was also charged for the tip. Spoke to a few people and they said it has been happening a lot. My husband and I and anther couple ate at the California Grill--not at all happy with the service. Our waiter was very slow, we had a time frame--kids were at Neverland Club(great experience for the kids), he screwed up the tip and double charged us. Not very happy. Finally, it seemed nobody knew what was going on--people would give different information about things and none of it was correct. I found Disney to be very unorganized this time around. I wouldn't say the trip was a disappointment, but it was an experience that I wish was a little more pleasant. I still had a great time being with my family and of course there is something magical about being in Disney. I hope other people did not share some of the experiences I did, but am curious if anyone had similiar mishaps?? |

| We too were just there and found it to be more crowded than it was 2 years ago But, the good thing about Fay was it drove most people out of the parks and we were able to get a lot done. And at least we didn't sweat to death

| Sorry about the crowds - and there will certainly be a lot of Brits there right now, as it's just coming to the end of the school summer holidays here.

| I have seen a lot fewer people on my daily commute recently, I guess many are giving summer one last hurrah!
