| Dh's idea...good or bad? On our upcoming trip our girls, ages 4 and 6, are scheduled for BBB. Dh and I talked about the cost, he wants them each to have a new dress just not pay for it at BBB. His idea... he wants to take them to World of Disney or a store in the park and let them pick out a new princess dress. He thinks this will save money. Is he right? Would the dresses cost less at WoD or one of the stores in the park OR should we just get them at BBB? Thanks! Danielle

| I would imagine they will be the same, no matter where you buy them at Disney. They would only be less expensive if you bought them somewhere like the Disney store or online at ebay or something. Just my thoughts.

| I too don't think they'd be much difference, since they are the same cost everywhere in the park. If you brought one from home (like from the Disney Store), that would be the cheaper option ![]()

| We purchased a Belle costume at Target for just under $20 that Stefanie wore for her BBB appointment. She felt as special as everyone else and we didn't have to break the bank on an outfit she might not wear again.

| I also purchased Cinderella and Snow white dresses at Target for 20.00 each before we left. Then, I bought the new cool wrap around Cinderella crown at the Tinkerbell store before our CRT lunch. DD3 started saying "where's my crown, where's my crown?" That wrap around crown actually fits all kids heads where the other ones always seem tight. You can add little extra collectible pins to it also. Anyway we then went over to BBB and got her sprinkled with fairy dust for the lunch. I looked at the dresses there briefly but stopped when I saw the $85.00 price tag on Ariel's ball gown. That was for the dress alone. DD3 doesn't have long hair yet so we didn't need BBB yet. Anyway I found this to be very magical and affordable and we had a terrific lunch. Of course she's only 3 so the exact dress isn't as important yet. I would definitely take your husband's suggestion but buy the dresses at home before you go. Then they can get their BBB makeover. Otherwise it just adds up to hundreds of dollars. It will all be very magical I'm sure!

| DTD's BBB is actually located IN WoD. I can't see that the dresses there would be any cheaper than if you go to the BBB at MK. We bought DD an Alice dress at Disney Store before we went. I was MUCH cheaper than those at WoD. I would suggest checking Costco before you go, as they often have princess dresses.

| I would think that it's definitely cheaper to buy at home and bring the dress with you, as everyone else said, the dresses are all the same price down there, they all come from the same place. On a sidenote, I think it's great that they let you bring in your own dress and don't force you to buy the ones they have down there. A great piece of versatility on their behalf. When I have a daughter, I do want to do the BBB at least once, the girls coming out always look so cute!!! |

An IDEA for you. IF you are going to do BBB and CRT and it will not be on your first day why not put the stuff in a bag and the night before they go let them find it when you come back from the park with a note from who ever to join them. To get it out without them seeing the bags before they get back leave something behind and when you get by the resort pool say oh I forgot....let me run back and get it and set them out then for when they get back. | |

| Perfect timing for you too, HALLOWEEN is right around the corner and Costco has the Princess dresses, so does Target and Walmart and MANY MANY other stores. As for BBB being less then WOD, well the prices for the dresses are the same, but you do get a bit of a savings if you do the package deals, still not as good as if you just took the dresses with you and kimberlym322 had a great idea about leaving them in the room for the girl's to find along with a note. I just might do that myself when I go in December. Have a great trip and let us all know what you decided to do and how it went. ~J~

| You will not find a difference among the various stores at Disney. However, bringing dresses from home will save you a ton of money. We've done it several times (even for BBB) and it has worked out great!

| We are doing BBB in about 3 wks & bringing our own dress from home. I bought it from the Disney Store last year after Halloween when it was on clearance. However, the ones at Target are only 20.00 and are really cute as well. If you're wanting to save $ I'd bring them with you.
