| Demagnitizing tickets???? I read a while back someting about the pre purchased tickets someone bought got de magnitized at either the airport or somewhere else??? I can't remember the whole post. It is just in the back of my head. We leave Wed. and now I am thinking about all of that stuff. What precautions do I need to take with my Park tickets? Can I just carry them in my carry on bag????

| I have never had any issues with my tickets becoming demagnitized. And, just for safe keeping, I always keep my tickets in my carr on bag. I don't think any special precautions are needed.

| The mag stripe (or strip) on the back of the tickets (and the Keys to the World room key cards) can demagnetize if they come into contact with other credit cards or cell phone batteries or any other magnets. I tend to keep my ticket in the little paper pouch they offer at the ticket windows and then keep it in a pocket far from my cell phone. If your tickets have demagnetized, it just takes a minute for a CM to reissue a new one -- they can do this for "activated" tickets (that have been used in a turnstile) at the turnstiles, and "unactivated" tickets at the Guest Services window outside of any park. Good luck! Eileen

| This happened to my BF. He was able to get another ticket reissued at the Guest Services window, but he had to wait in line there and get back in line to enter the MK. It was so sad, I went in first and he was outside all excited to get in...but eventually he made it. His ticket was next to his cell phone and the CM said that may have done it.

| I've never had a problem with the pre purchased tickets. I put them in an envelope and tucked in between some clothes in my carry on bag. I do know if you keep them near other credit cards or a cell phone they can become demagnitized. |

| We've had this occur several times, mostly from keeping our park tickets too close to the cell phones. It is a pain when you're anxious to get in the parks, but not a big deal as a CM will issue you a new one right away. If you keep the tickets in those paper jackets, you should be just fine.

| Mine demagnetize all the time (I get APs and keep them in my wallet) and I've tried keeping them away from everything but sometimes they just don't work. Don't worry, Guest Relations can help you!

| It always happens to us. We try to keep the cards in their paper envelopes but I guess we are not very good about keeping them from magnetic forces. But it has never been a problem we are always issued a new card right away.

| I had three KTTW cards demagnetize on me in 2006. My APs have never demagnetized.

| It's happened to us before (and my Mom a number of times). Just try to keep them separate, but they are very easy to replace!!
